EGYPTIANS ARE LOVERS OF THE PROPHET ﷺ

07 Januari Arrival Aswan

Mausoleum of Abu al-Hasan al-Shadhili

Abu al-Hasan al-Shadhili (Arabic: أبو الحسن الشاذلي) (full name: Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Jabbār al-Ḥasanī wal-Ḥusaynī al-Shādhilī) also known as Sheikh al-Shadhili (593–656 AH) (1196–1258 AD) was an influential Moroccan Islamic scholar and Sufi, founder of the Shadhili Sufi order. When asked who his spiritual master was, he used to reply, “I used to be the close follower of Abd as-Salam ibn Mashish,

but still I am drinking the water of wisdom from five ponds JibrilMikhailIsrafilIzra’ilRooh.” Shaykh Abul-Abbas al-Mursi (d. 1288), who succeeded Shaykh ash-Shadhili as the spiritual master of the Order, was asked about the knowledge of his spiritual master and replied, “He gave me forty sciences. He was an ocean without a shore.” He taught his close followers to lead a life of contemplation and remembrance of Allah while performing the normal everyday activities of the world. He disliked initiating any would-be follower unless that person already had a profession. His admonition to his close followers was to apply the teachings of Islam in their own lives in the world and to transform their existence. Shadhili wrote several devotional recitations, prayers and letters, some of which remain today. One of the best known poems is his “Litany of the Sea” hizb al-Bahr)

People of As-Saʻīd are lovers of our ‎Prophet ﷺ and Sahabah. The way of those new movements that are not connected to him ﷺ is fundamentally corrupt. Major signs of Qiyamah are appearing now. The king Sayyidina Al-Mahdi will reveal light and relief. Insha’Allah fast on Thursday; it is the first night of Rajab and Laylatul Ragha’ib.

AL-MAHDI’S APPEARANCE IS RELIEF FOR THE UMMAH

Mawlana Sheikh Muhammad Adil ar-Rabbani 08 January 2024/ 26 Jumada al-Thani 1445 Aswan, Egypt

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

 Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَكُونُوا۟ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

(Qur’ān 09:119).

‘‘Yā ‘Ayyuhā l-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū t-Taqū l-Llaha Wa Kūnū Ma’a s-Sādiqīn’’

‘’O you who have believed, fear Allah and be with the truthful.’’

Insha’Allah we always ask that we be with the truthful ones. AlhamduliLlah Allāh ﷻ sends the righteous and we meet them. Whoever is destined to go somewhere will come from anywhere in the world and go there. AlhamduliLlah, today, this year, in this month, insha’Allah this meeting is blessed with you, the people of As-Saʻīd (Upper Egypt), the people of Sufism, the lovers of the Messenger of Allāh ﷻ salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, the lovers of Ahlu l-Bayt, the lovers of the righteous ones and the Awliya.

AlhamduliLlah, “هََٰ ذَا مِن فَضْلِ رَبِِّي لَكُم”,

“Hadha Min Fadhli Rabbi Lakum”,

“This is from the grace of my Lord for you.” Because now there are Fitan (discords) in the world. Shaytan is adorning for them the falsehood as it is the truth.

They don’t like to honor whom Allāh ﷻ honored. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla honored our Prophet Muhammad salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, and those on his ﷺ way from Ahlu l-Bayt, the righteous ones, the companions and the Awliya. He ﷻ honored

them all. This exists here in this country, in Egypt in general and in As-Saʻīd in particular: AlhamduliLlah the love of the Messenger of Allah , ﷺ and the love of all the companions. There is no differentiation between the companions. Whoever differentiates between the companions is against our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says :

  ِ   أصحابي   كالنِّجوم  بأيِّهم اِقتديتُم اِهتديتُم

“Aṣhābī kā n-nujūm bi ayyihim qtadaytum htadaytum”

“My companions are as the stars. Whichever you follow, you will be in Hidayah (guided).” This is the saying of the Messenger of Allāh ﷻ   salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. He ﷺ said, “My companions, my beloved ones.” Do you know better than the Prophet ﷺ? AstaghfiruLlah. Ḥāshā! (far from it). Ḥāshā and never! What our Holy Prophet ﷺ says is upon the head and the eye. If this head and eye do not accept, there is no need for the head or the eye. There is no need at all. He mustn’t say: “I follow the Messenger of Allah,  ﷺ. I am a Muslim. I am a scholar. I am learned. You Sufis are polytheists. You do not follow the Qur’an. You do not  follow the Prophet ﷺ”

Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam speaks words from his ﷺ honorable mouth, we must follow them. These are the instructions of the Messenger of Allāh, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Because all the people of Sufism have taken from a chain from the Messenger of Allah,  salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam: one by one, one by one until it reaches this time.

Those who do not take from the Messenger of Allah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa- sallam are these new movements that came after the Messenger of Allah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. They have no connection to Sayyidina Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Here [in this case], their way is fundamentally corrupt. From the days of Sayyidina Abu Bakr radiya Llahu ‘anhu, Sayyidina Omar radiya Llahu ‘anhu, Sayyidina Othman radiya Llahu ‘anhu and Sayyidina Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhum: Fitan appeared after them. Those [corrupt ones] have no connection with the Messenger of Allah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

The connection is through Sayyidina Abu Bakr radiya Llahu ‘anhu, through Sayyidina Ali Karrama Llahu Wajhah (May Allah exalt his face). All of them sought from the Messenger of Allah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, reaching to the Messenger of Allah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. This is the beauty that we see in your country, in Aswan and in the rest of the cities and places, the people of As- Saʻīd, the lovers of Allāh ﷻ, the lovers of the Messenger of Allāh , ﷺ, the lovers of Awliya’uLlah.

 “بِهِم تُمْ طَرُون، بِهِم تُر ْ زَقُون ، بِهِم تُنْصَرُون”,

“Bihim tumṭarūn, bihim turzaqūn, bihim tunṣarūn.”

“Rain falls upon you by their Barakah. Rizq (provision) comes to you by their means. You reach victory by their means.”

Our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said that about his ﷺ , Awliya, about the Aqtāb (poles), about the Abdāl (subsitutes) and about the Awtād (pillars). These are the inheritors of the Messenger of Allah, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

AlhamduliLlah in this month, insha’Allah after two days, there is a blessed night. And it happens alhamduliLlah that we will be in Egypt insha’Allah: it is Laylatul Ragha’ib. This is a blessed night. Whoever can – we are now traveling, if we weren’t traveling we would have fasted on Thursday. And Thursday night will be the night of [entry] of the month of Rajab insha’Allah. In our country, the calendar is set according to calculations. They say it [the first of Rajab] is on Friday. Insha’Allah it is Friday, according to the moon.

This is a blessed month, the month of Allāh ﷻ. The month of Sha’ban is the month of our Holy Prophetﷺ, the Messenger of Allah, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa- sallam. Ramadan is the month of the Ummah (nation). These three months are blessed months insha’Allah. It will be Barakah and goodness for Ummati  Muhammad ﷺ,  victory and conquest for the Ummati Muhammad ,ﷺ

We are in a difficult time; we are in the end of times. Almost all of these signs that the Messenger of Allah , salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam told about appeared. The Messenger of Allah , salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam , is a prophet ﷺ; prophet means prophecy. He ﷺ tells about the future, what will happen until the Day of Resurrection. The Messenger of Allah, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, says the truth in what he ﷺ said. Most of the signs that show the nearness of Qiyamah has appeared. Now insha’Allah there are major signs appearing. Insha’Allah Sayyidina Al-Mahdi – the biggest sign insha’Allah will be the appearance of Sayyidina Al- Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam and the descent of Sayyidina ‘Isa ‘alayhi s-salam. They will fight disbelief and spread Islam. Allāh ﷻ promised those who believed, and the Messenger of Allah, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam promised that the whole world will be Muslim insha’Allah. The whole world will be in Islam. We ask Allāh ﷻ that it is near, a relief for the Ummah, a relief for humanity as well. Humanity now – the whole world is in darkness, in oppression, continuous oppression. This oppression and darkness will be wiped out by the king, the just Sultan, the Sultan, our master  Al-Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam, and he will reveal light and relief insha’Allah.

May Allāh ﷻ make us reach these days insha’Allah.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Mawlana addresses the seekers of knowledge in the Haqqani Madrassah in Cairo tackling a sensitive point. Seeking knowledge is a responsibility and connection is by Madhhab and Tariqah together.

SEEKING KNOWLEDGE IS A RESPONSIBILITY

Mawlana Sheikh Muhammad Adil ar-Rabbani 10 January 2024/ 28 Jumada al-Thani 1445

Hakkani Madrassah – Cairo Sheikh Ali (founder of the Madrassa) Indeed it is a noble Qur’an

نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ

عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ

(Qur’an 26:193-194)

“Nazala Bihi Ar-Rūĥu Al-‘Amīn”(193)

“Alá Qalbika Litakūna Mina Al-Mundhirīn”“The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down (193)

Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] – that you may be of the warners.”

(Qur’an 26:193-194)

O Friend, bear witness to the light of Ar-Rahman in Muhammad bin Nazim Al-Haqqani. With his light, the morning came and the sun which illuminates the path for the blinds shone. With his knowledge, the ignorant became a teacher who guides with his wisdom the footsteps of the bewildered. O my Master, you are the succorer and you are to me like the soul and blood running in my artery. You instilled life in us and Egypt revived with your light Indeed, you are the blessing of these universes.

Egypt’s paths and soil were honored and with you rejoiced was the sound of the walls. Egypt’s paths and soil were honored and with you rejoiced was the sound of the walls. So pour forth upon us from your light a bright shine and spurt a drink from you for the thirsty.

Mawlana Sheikh Muhammad came directly from the airport here to honor the Hafidh of the Qur’an, and this is not new of him. He did not accept to rest, may Allāh ﷻ be pleased with him and please him. He is the successor of Mawlana Sheikh Nazim, may Allāh ﷻ be pleased with him and please him, who, if he heard the voice  of the Adhan, would rise at once, and stand up in honor of the rituals of Allāh ﷻ

 ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَـٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى ٱلْقُلُوبِ

Dhālika Wa man yu’azzim sha’ā’ira Allāhi‘ fa innahā min taqwa l-qulūb’’

“That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the symbols of Allah – indeed, it is from the piety of hearts.’ (Qur’ān 22:32). If he heard his ﷺ name, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, he stood up crying ;

ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِ

“Dhālika Wa Man Yu`ažžim Ĥurumāti Allāhi Fahuwa‘ Khayrun Lahu `Inda Rabbihi’’

“That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah – it is best for him in the sight of his Lord.’’ (Qur’ān22:30). May Allāh ﷻ be pleased with him and please him. He fought against Bid’ah and established the Sunnah. Even one hundred and twelve cases were filed against him for the case of calling the Adhan. He called the Adhan in Arabic in a time when Turkey banned calling the Adhan in Arabic. He was only afraid from Allāh Almighty. We listen to an advice for our students from Mawlana, Sayyidi.

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

Tariqatuna  aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Sheikh Ali, may Allāh ﷻ be pleased with him, spoke words we are not worthy of. Masha’Allah when we arrived, we were honored with Awliya’uLlah, Ahlul-Bayt, Sayyidina Al-Hussein, Sayyidatuna Zaynab and Nafisa At-Tahira, and Imam Al-Shafi’i. All of these: we are not an atom next to them. But AlhamduliLlah we come to take honor from them, we take light from their radiance: those whose light was illumination for the Islamic nation, for the nation of Muhammad ﷺ. With their Barakah, all these students and knowledge is overflowing to the Islamic nation all over the world. Here is the head of real knowledge alhamduliLlah, knowledge from the Messenger of Allah, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, the truth, the way of the Messenger of Allah, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. As our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said, in the end of times, the nation will be divided into seventy-three sects, only one is saved. And they are the ones who keep on the way of Sayyidina Muhammad salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. AlhamduliLlah they exist now; there are righteous scholars and righteous Mashayikh.

AlhamduliLlah we now thank Allāh ﷻ for this blessing: a great blessing. Students come here, benefit and be of benefit. A big Fitnah happened, after the caliphs of the family of Othman, there is no Islamic caliphate. They found it empty so they spread poisons in this nation, into the body of this nation wanting to kill it.

AlhamduliLlah, although there has become a lot of disease, now there is Masha’Allah a counterattack against these bad ideas and deviant thoughts. The light appears insha’Allah. Light will prevail in the world with these disciples, the seekers  of knowledge whom Allāh ﷻ has honored. All angels put their wings under the feet of the seekers of knowledge. That’s a great honoring.

Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim. A Muslim must learn knowledge. It is an obligation for a Muslim to strive to find someone to teach him.

If there are no sincere and pious ones who follow the Sunnah of our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, they will find other people who will mislead them.So you are responsible. The seeker of knowledge is responsible to teach what he has learned: the right way, the Sunnah and the Qur’an insha’Allah. This is very important. Zakat, “The Zakat of [acquiring] knowledge is teaching it.” The Messenger of Allah, salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, also said that the scholar who does not teach is responsible; he will be punished.

This now is a sensitive point. “Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim” learning is to be with someone who’s connected to the Messenger of Allāh ﷻ You all insha’Allah, the scholars who are here, all have a connection. How is the  connection? The connection is by the Madhhab: to follow a Madhhab of the four Madhhabs. And also to be in Tariqah. The Tariqah with the Madhhab is necessary.

Knowledge without Sufism is not applicable. Sufism means sincerity, sincerity with Allāh ﷻ. Everything is from beneficence. This is the beneficence described by the Messenger of Allah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam: Iman (faith) and I’hsan (beneficence). Beneficence is very important. If there’s no sincerity and beneficence, there will be no benefit. Insha’Allah there will be. May Allāh ﷻ bless you.

We studied at Al-Fath Islamic School in Damascus. AlhamduliLlah it was a very good school, and the strongest school in Shari’ah and in Tariqah as well. The professors used to give us – the school was for free, [the professors] were also paying money, [Mawlana says again the word “money” in the Egyptian dialect]. You don’t know [the word] “money [in Levantine Arabic].” [Mawlana laughs] Every month they pay us money. And when the seven years of schooling is over, in the last year they say: “We don’t forgive you if you don’t teach this knowledge in your country.” This is very important. Insha’Allah may Allāh ﷻ forgive us and forgive  you. You are sincere, those who came here came sincerely.

Insha’Allah may Allāh ﷻ increase knowledge by their means, and increase the righteous scholars insha’Allah, on the right path, on the straight path insha’Allah, with the blessing of Sayyidina Muhammad salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, and with the secret of Surat Al-Fatiha.

Mawlana welcomed by top Scholars of Al-Azhar, including Sheikh Usama Al-Sayyid Al-Azhar
This private organization is dedicated to reserving the genealogy, documents and records of the desendents of the prophet Mohammed صلى الله عليه و سلم.

Zawiyahs are mosques. Build your hearts upon Iman and Islam. Mawlana tells a story from Mawlana Sheikh Nazim which is a representation of our ego; our egos are donkeys. Never interfere in politics. Our door is open to all.
The civilization of shaytan takes mankind downwards. Egypt is the land of the righteous and Awliyā. We saw goodness in many; learning and teaching religion.

THE LAND OF THE RIGHTEOUS

al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
نَ وُنسِ حْ مْ مهُ نَ يذَِّلاوَّ اوَقَّتا نَ يذَِّلا عَ مَ َ􁀃َّ نَِّإ
(Qur’ān 16:128). ‘Inna Llāha ma‘a lladhīna it-taqaw wa lladhīna hum muḥsinūn’, ‘Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.’ Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.
In this Ayah, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says that Allāh ﷻ is with us, with those who believe and fear their Lord and those who do good. AlhamduliLlah. O Allāh ﷻ make us among them. This is the way of prosperity, the way of success, the way to win paradise. Two days ago, Saif said: “This man is Masha’Allah sincere, trustworthy.” I told him, “This is a smart man.” He who is sincere and trustworthy will be a winner in this world and in the hereafter. Who is not trustworthy, traitor, cheater, liar, he is the stupidest among the stupid. He thinks he is smart, that he is “Falhawi”, as the Egyptians say. He has no mind; his mind is as small as a bird.
Because whoever wins him – he is always in fear, always in anxiety, there is no Barakah with him always. He is not satisfied, although Allāh ﷻ showed him the straight path, the path of happiness, the path of victory in this world and in the hereafter. Who has also done something wrong in this world is afraid. In the smallest matter, even when he walks in the streets, he is afraid. “If the police arrest me, or if this one whom I’ve cheated sees me then insults me or beats me.” He is always worried. Whoever does a mistake in this world, if he asks forgiveness from Allāh ﷻ, Allāh ﷻ will of course forgive him. But if he harms people or takes their rights unjustly, he must ask Allāh ﷻ for forgiveness and ask for forgiveness from
those whom he have harmed. There’s no shame in that. Allāh ﷻ forgives him insha’Allah. And for those whom he harmed or wronged, if he asks them for forgiveness they most of the time forgive him. AlhamduliLlah I’ve reached this age. I’ve got hundreds of stories from this
example. Whoever does something wrong, if he harmed people, he cannot have benefit in this world. The benefit is little. And these, so that Allāh ﷻ will hold them accountable in the hereafter, He ﷻ will give them in this world. He gives them so that their punishment is bigger. For most of those who cheat or think they are winning, there is never a profit. Loss, always a loss. Allāh ﷻ punishes them in this world before the hereafter. This is the system of Allāh ﷻ. The saying of Allāh ﷻ, and Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is the Most Truthful among those who speak. This is depicted by Allāh ﷻ in the Qur’an and in the Hadith Qudsi, and on the tongue of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. All this is said by our Holy Prophet Muhammad ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.
Who doesn’t accept this, says “Europe does this.” He says, “This is civilization, this is advancement. If you want to be at the level of our civilization you have to go down, down, below, go down.” Today we passed by a canal, smells terrible. The civilization of Europe is not to go upwards but to go down, downwards, down with rats, with mosquitoes, with microbes, with insects. “This is civilization. If you want to descend into our civilization you must be like us.” This is the civilization of shaytan and his helpers. They think they are doing good for themselves. They are harming the world and the world is being harmed by them.
They know the truth but don’t like to follow it. This is from their egos. Their ego doesn’t want this. The shaytan doesn’t want this. Now, even the citizens of their countries say: “What they teach us is against human values, against humanity even.” If the situation remains like this, humanity will not remain. This is over on the apparent and inside. It is over. As we say, it went down to the lowest of the low, the most despicable. It became the dirtiest thing. It is a mask. Whoever looks with the truth, even with the naked eye sees their situation. But there are many people who are cheated by them. They wish to be like them. That’s something that doesn’t benefit; it harms and doesn’t benefit.
AlhamduliLlah in this trip we were in southern Egypt. We passed through villages with no water, mountains without trees, no grass. Poor villages. Poor but rich: poor apparently, rich spiritually. They are among the accepted ones for Allāh ﷻ. In their villages, in their homes you see that there is poverty, but alhamduliLlah you see joy on their faces or in their actions that you do not find in Europe or America. Especially America, may Allāh ﷻ improve Muslims, improve people. They think America is paradise. If a person strives as much as he does to go to America, he will enter paradise a hundred times. SubhanAllah people. May Allāh ﷻ protect us and you, and open our hearts and your hearts insha’Allah, and our eyes until we see the truths.
AlhamduliLlah in Egypt, this is also the land of scholars, the land of companions, the righteous Awliya and Aqtab in this country, a very blessed country. I think yesterday we visited about 20-30 mausoleums, all of which are Masha’Allah Ahlu l-Bayt, the grandchildren of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, Caliphs, those who were in authority, scholars, Awliya in Cairo, and also everywhere. I sometimes read the scholars and Awliya present. We read over a thousand and there are more too. Every time it is written in the newspaper, it is written every time that there was in Cairo, in Damietta, here and there. Your
country was Masha’Allah a center for scholars, Awliya and Aqtab (poles). With their Barakah this country will be AlhamduliLlah on the straight path. They tried to ruin it a lot. The ancient scholars and those who came after them stood against those who wanted to change, to change Islam according to his opinion. AlhamduliLlah because they were truthful, they were protected. These cheaters have been punished by Allāh ﷻ in this world before the hereafter. Because these wanted to subvert Islam. A lot of groups are cheated by them. Many groups think they are the ones who defend Islam. The defenders of Islam are the Awliya, the righteous ones and Aqtab present in this country. Because they tried to do so, the Awliya did not accept that, they imposed upon them the oppressors who took them and saved
people from them. AlhamduliLlah nine days have passed. Insha’Allah tomorrow we will travel from here. It was a blessed trip insha’Allah. May Allāh ﷻ protect this country and its
rulers insha’Allah. Insha’Allah all of them are people of piety. I heard they have counselors. They consult them in the work they do if they are correct according to the religion or against it. AlhamduliLlah that is enough. This is a blessing. The greatest blessing is that the ruler is obedient, a believer in his prayers, in his works. Allāh ﷻ blesses him and the people of the country. In a Hadith, Sayyidina Muhammad ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “Do not swear at the Sultans.” When you swear at them, and you do the opposite of their order, there is no benefit; there is harm. Make Dua in prayer, make Dua for Barakah insha’Allah.
May Allāh ﷻ bless you. May Allāh ﷻ protect this country and give Rizq to the poor and for the children to be righteous children. AlhamduliLlah we saw Masha’Allah goodness in many, in the south and in the north, but in the south more. There are righteous people, children who are learning religion, they are teaching them religion. This made us happy. Our heart is very happy with these scenes. May Allāh ﷻ grant this to our country. Our country is done. Our country, what can we say? May Allāh ﷻ improve them. Mawlana Sheikh Nazim, our father
says: “I brought to Islam thousands of Europeans, atheists, infidels, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, but in Cyprus not one. May Allāh ﷻ improve them.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

Spiritual Gems: The Mystical Qur’an Commentary, Ascribed to Ja’ far al-Sadiq

Spiritual Gems is the first ever full translation of arguably the earliest extant mystical commentary on the Qur’an. It was preserved and transmitted by the Sufis of the early centuries of Islam, and is to be found in the 4th-5th/10th-11th century compendium compiled by M.b. al-Husayn al-Sulami (d. 412/1021), in which Ja’far al-Sadiq is one of the most frequently cited authorities.

Complete with analytical introduction and scholarly notes, the book contains detailed exposition of the methods and levels of scriptural interpretations used in this commentary.

“Every verse of the Qur’an has four levels of meaning: the obvious verbal meaning, the indication or analogy, the subtle meaning, and the deepest reality.” This saying, attributed to Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq, gives us a glimpse of what we will find in the pages of this translation, compiled by as-Sulami, of the earliest mystical commentaries on the Qur’an.

Spiritual Gems helps us to understand Islamic scripture on the spiritual– and thus, universal– level. Indeed, precisely because its insights are on the spiritual level, the commonalities of theme and practice with other spiritual traditions become apparent.

This volume helps us to understand Islamic scripture on the spiritual — and thus, universal — level. Indeed, precisely because its insights are on the spiritual level, the commonalities of theme and practice with other spiritual traditions such as Kabbalah become apparent.

“Every verse of the Qur’an has four levels of meaning: the obvious verbal meaning, the indication or analogy, the subtle meaning, and the deepest reality.” This saying, attributed to Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq, gives us a glimpse of what we will find in the pages of this first ever translation of the volume, compiled by as-Sulami, of the earliest mystical commentaries on the Qur’an.

This book is important because it presents the words of mystics who were also sound scholars from the Islamic tradition. This translation gives us the raw words directly from traditional sages, accompanied by introductions of tight scholarship which give us accurate portrayal of the sages’ respective contexts.

This corpus of exegetical comments constitutes arguably the earliest extant mystical commentary on the Qur’an. It was preserved and transmitted by the Sufis of the early centuries of Islam, and is found in the fourth/tenth through fifth/eleventh century compendium compiled by al-SulamÏ (d. 412/1021), in which Jaʿfar al-Sadiq is one of the most frequently cited authorities.

Spiritual Gems is the first ever English of this important corpus from al-Sadiq. Complete with analytical introduction and scholarly notes, the book contains a detailed exposition of the methods and levels of scriptural interpretation used in this commentary and of the cognate ontological continuity between the levels of the human microcosm.

The spirituality of this text is a deeply mystical encounter with the truths enunciated by philosophy and religion. In addition to surmounting temporal differences, the inner landscape of the commentary rises above formal differences; by virtue of its universal message, it is as relevant today as it was in earlier times. Cosmology and Architecture in Premodern Islam

Cosmology and Architecture in Premodern Islam: An Architectural Reading of Mystical Ideas Read book here

This fascinating interdisciplinary study reveals connections between architecture, cosmology, and mysticism. Samer Akkach demonstrates how space ordering in premodern Islamic architecture reflects the transcendental and the sublime. The book features many new translations, a number from unpublished sources, and several illustrations.

Referencing a wide range of mystical texts, and with a special focus on the works of the great Sufi master Ibn Arabi, Akkach introduces a notion of spatial sensibility that is shaped by religious conceptions of time and space. Religious beliefs about the cosmos, geography, the human body, and constructed forms are all underpinned by a consistent spatial sensibility anchored in medieval geocentrism. Within this geometrically defined and ordered universe, nothing stands in isolation or ambiguity; everything is interrelated and carefully positioned in an intricate hierarchy. Through detailed mapping of this intricate order, the book shows the significance of this mode of seeing the world for those who lived in the premodern Islamic era and how cosmological ideas became manifest in the buildings and spaces of their everyday lives. This is a highly original work that provides important insights on Islamic aesthetics and culture, on the history of architecture, and on the relationship of art and religion, creativity and spirituality.

In his famous Ihya Ulum al-Din (Reviving the Sciences of Religion), al-Ghazali (d. 1111), the celebrated Muslim theologian and mystic, cites an intriguing analogy. He says: “As an architect draws (yusawwir) the details of a house in whiteness and then brings it out into existence according to the drawn exemplar (nuskha), so likewise the creator (f atir) of heaven and earth wrote the master copy of the world from beginning to end in the Preserved Tablet (al-lawh al-mahf uz) and then brought it out into existence according to the written exemplar.”
In many ways, this book is a commentary on, and an exposition of, this statement, an attempt to explore the philosophical and theological contexts that give sense to such an analogy in premodern Islam. In broad terms, the book is concerned with the question of art and religion, creativity and spirituality, with how religious thought and ideas can provide a context for understanding the meanings of human design and acts of making. In specific terms, it is concerned with the cosmological and cosmogonic ideas found in the writings of certain influential Muslim mystics and with their relevance to architecture and spatial organization.

Hajja Amina Adil 1930-2004

A Fragrance of Hajja Aminah Adil

This collection of sohbats of Hajja Aminah Adil was recorded during a visit to Lefke, Cyprus between June 27th and July 30th of the year 2004. Some of them were told to the group of women who gathered around the large table in the Shaykh’s house every afternoon. Hajja Amina was well known for her stories. She gathered them from many sources. These sohbets were given in either Arabic or Turkish. She told these stories to her four children when they were growing up. Then she began telling them to the murids of the Shaykh who gathered, like her children, around her. She had a way of telling them that engaged and captivated everyone. They were a source of entertainment but they also provided subtle guidance and insight and understanding that lasts a lifetime. That is why we feel it is so important to pass themn to those who did not have the opportunity to experience themselves.   144 pages (free download)

Oceans of Mercy and Power

Bismillahirahmanirahim

MEMORIES OF THE PRESENCE

Introduction by the Editor

During the lifetime of Maulana S.N, in the heavenly pre-Internet days, I frequently went for “treasure hunting”, namely visiting his Dergah in order to write down his talks, which he had told me to do previously. Maulana Sheikh Nazim’s  description of the spirit (or rather the total lack of it) of his epoch, , were ahead of his time,. Then, however, I wasn’t able to see the often visionary quality of his discourses .

This has changed. Looking again at those unpublished pages of Sheikh. Nazim’s Sohbas over various decades I am stunned by their moderness – the way he had analyzed the spirit of his/our era became a mirrot of our present day society, where collective madness, technology worship, and the decay of any form of manners have become normalcy (as predicted by Archangel Jibreel, a.s.). Indeed, they are memories of his future, which is now – our present time.

Pressed and impressed by the impact of Maulana’s message, and, in line with Sheikh Mehmet’s above honouring of his blessed father’s giant achievement, we decided to publish these Suhbas under the title

MEMORIES OF NOW

one by one, so that you can absorb them in the leasurely time they were given. insha’Allah. (But there will also be a short version, along with the extended version!)

Here is the second of those Sohbas ‘Oceans of Mercy and Power’, with many more to follow insha’Allah. May his memory be honoured by this project, may he be thanked endlessly, and may he be blessed always. To quote Maulana Sheikh Mehmet again, ‘Everything was easy with him.’ It was Paradise, indeed. Wa min Allah at-taufiq.  – Fatiha –

Safiyya Linges-Ramadan

*Oceans of Mercy and Power* Rajab 1984

Audhu billahil mina shaitani rajim bismillahirahmanirahim. La haula wa la quatta wa ma taufiqi illa billahil aliul azim.

In the Name of Allah Almighty, the Most Merciful, the Most Munificent and Most Generous. There is no other Might or Power and verily, my success is only with Allah, the Most High, the Most Glorious.

Everything within limits is small – We are coming and appearing, then returning to Him – In this life we recognize ourselves – To prepare for Divine Presence: that is the Divine Therapy for mankind

We are in oceans of Mercy. Nothing can exist without Mercy, without Mercy Oceans. Wa ja’alna minal malikulla shay’in hay.Allah Almighty created everything from water – no life without water. He Almighty made water to be the source of life, and there is no life without it. He Almighty gives life, and He endowed water with a secret Divine Power which strengthens every living thing which lives by water. Plants, animals, and human beings need i to live.

Therefore we speak of Mercy Oceans, for the Mercy of Allah Almighty is like an ocean, an endless ocean. Everything that can be counted in numbers is small. Although one can imagine big numbers, one ends up with small numbers, which may be imagined to be multiplied millions of times, and then will be like zero, compared to the big number. And one can imagine the big number multiplied billions of times which in turn would also seem like zero, compared to the new number. Therefore everything within limits is small. What is without limits is big. A number without limits would be a big number. As long as it is within limits it is a small number.

Everything Is in His Mercy and Power

Allah Almighty’s Mercy Oceans are endless, without ending or beginning. And everything existing is swimming in these Mercy Oceans. They surround everything created – not only from the outside but also from the inside. Hence there is no place without Mercy Oceans, no atom, nor any smaller thing. This means that all existence belongs to these Oceans of Mercy. Ice swimming in oceans is not only surrounded by water but its entire existence is water. You can’t find a spot in it or on it that isn’t water. We may call it ice surrounded by water, and yet it is water. And you will not find anything in existence which, in its essence, is not connected to this Mercy. Even the smallest thing existing in the universe is connected with that Ocean of Mercy, inside and outside. This means that everything is connected to these Oceans of Mercy; they reach to each point of creation.

Likewise the smallest part of existence is surrounded by Oceans of Power. They must also reach its smallest point, for the Mercy Oceans would not be able to appear as creatures without the Power Oceans. Rahmatu wa qudratu: His Mercy and Power must be with everything, however small it may be. Nothing can be found in existence except for His Power and His Mercy. Everything is in His Mercy and in His Power.

That is why Grandsheikh Abdullah (may Allah bless him) said: ‘Everything appears in Allah Almighty’s endless Oceans of Power.’ Everything is from Allah Almighty’s Oceans of Power. He says ‘Come and Appear’, and it comes: San atul qadir – the creation of Allah Almighty which belongs to Him, His Creation from His Wisdom, comes, from endless Power Oceans. Therefore you won’t find any interruption in creation, from pre-eternity to eternity. Creation goes on and on, it never stops, impossible. The existence of Allah Almighty is absolute, and His Power Oceans are in His Existence, also absolute.

Nobody knows when creation began. It was before time. He created time and space, and He isn’t in need of time or space. Time doesn’t affect Him, and He is not in need of space. He wouldn’t be Allah if He were in need of anything. If He were in need of space this would mean that space would be more powerful than Him. Allah is not in need of anything, neither space nor time. His Existence is Absolute Being. He gives existence to creatures. No one knows the beginning of Creation, and no one knows anything about its end. Creation goes on forever. We are in this Ocean only for a moment. We stick our head out and have a look at this world and after one second we have disappeared.

We Appear and Disappear

Everything comes into being by His Endless Power Oceans. Everything appears in His endless Power Oceans. We are coming from Allah and we are going back to Allah. We are coming and appearing, then disappearing and returning to Him – coming from Him and going to Him.

That is the Divine Wisdom of Allah Almighty. He wants to show His Servants a way to meet themselves, and He wants to help them along on this journey. He wants you to look at and understand yourselves so that you can meet yourselves and realize who you are. Therefore he makes us appear for a short while. During this short time you may say, ‘Oh, I am Sheikh Ahmad, I am Sheikh Muhammad, I am Fatima or Nadia.’

A little child doesn’t know yet who he or she is. This comes only when it is growing older, when it knows its name and recognizes itself. When it sees itself in the mirror making faces it gets very angry because it doesn’t realize that it is seeing itself, and no one else. In this life we recognize ourselves. We say we are this one or that one, but 20 years ago I wasn’t like I am now, I was someone else, and I’ve changed. The new moon begins as a small crescent, but only when it is full can we recognize it as the whole moon. Human beings begin the process of recognizing themselves at the beginning of their lives. When they have grown up, like the full moon, they recognize themselves. Then they become less and less until the end. That’s the script – from beginning to end. We appear and disappear. You recognize yourselves when you come, disappear and move on.

Divine Therapy

But you will take something with you from this life. Whatever you do, chair or scharr, goodness or badness – you will recognize yourself by this. When your life is fulfilled, you will move on. You will disappear. You will be taken underground, covered with earth, and hidden. There you will continue your way until the Day of Resurrection. On that day all human beings will appear, and there will be many expected and unexpected events for humanity. To prepare for the Divine Presence on this Day, that is the Divine Therapy for mankind. On the Day of Resurrection there will be unexpected events.

Therefore Allah Almighty grants existence to human beings, and to so many creatures around them whom they know, and recognize, and everything, in turn will recognize human beings. On the Last Day as they enter the Divine Presence, they will be covered and surrounded by endless Oceans of Power and also by endless Oceans of Mercy. May Allah Almighty pass His Judgment over every one, according to His Divine Wisdom. Only Allah Almighty knows what will happen on that day. Until this point we have been informed by the holy Prophet and Messenger of Allah, upon whom may be peace, but that is as much as he told us. When we pass over into the Real Life, we shall understand what the Divine Wisdom was for everyone in this life. It will be clear for everyone.

Now we need Guidance to take us to our Divine goal and to help us see with each step, day by day, where we are going. Guidance helping us to enjoy the Divine Thoughts received from our Lord in this life, and to do our best, in praying, thanking, and praising Allah Almighty. Knowing this you must try to give even more praise to Allah Almighty. When you give Him a lot, He will give you much, much more in return. This way will lead you to Marifatullah. Here Divine Knowledge will be revealed to His servant knowledge that Allah Almighty surrounds us with in His endless Oceans of Mercy, and with His endless Oceans of Power. He never leaves His creatures, for no creature can create itself. Allah is the Creator. Endless praising to our Lord Allah Almighty. May Allah Almighty bless you, and us.
