THE ANIMALS IN THE HOLY QURAN

Bismillah…

Allah (swt) have mentioned certain animals in the Quran
-the scholars say 29 animals
-it may take us 3 nights to finish the topic

These animals were mentioned by Allah to teach us some lessons
-there are a lot you can learn from animals
-animal geography is a big business
-it is better to watch the national geographic channel than to watch the films
-the animals are Muslims but the actors are not

There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered. (Al-An’am 6:38)

These animals have orders, rules and regulations
-they are a nation / community
-they have their languages and they are organized
-they have an ameer and you should not underestimate them

1. THE BEE

And your Lord inspired the bee, saying: “Take you habitations in the mountains and in the trees and in what they erect. (An-Nahl 16:68)

“Then, eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord made easy (for you).” There comes forth from their bellies, a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men. Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think. (An-Nahl 16:69)

Look at the surah (An-Nahl); it is in the plural
-they have to survive in a colony
-they can’t survive alone
-so they have a community

Allah (swt) stated that He inspired the bees to make the honey
-so do not think that only human beings are inspired
-Allah also inspired the mother of Musa (a.s)
-and she acted against her motherly instinct
-by following what she was inspired to do

Allah inspired the bees to go to the mountains and trees
-but some bee-hives are not natural but made by man
-the experts on homey say that the best honey is the one made from the mountains,
-then that from trees and then from man-made hives

“Then, eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of your Lord made easy (for you).” There comes forth from their bellies, a drink of varying colour wherein is healing for men. Verily, in this is indeed a sign for people who think. (An-Nahl 16:69)

It is the female bee that builds the colony and makes the honey
-she goes around looking for nectar
-Allah inspired the female bees
-all the commandments in both ayats are directed to the female bees
-not the male
-the female do the donkey work

Why did Allah name the surah An-Nahl (the bees)?
-they are organized, united and have an ameer
-Allah wants you to be like them
-the honey has many benefits and that was why the rasul (saw) loved honey
-and used to go to Zainab (r.a)’s house to drink it

Narrated By ‘Aisha: The Prophet used to stay (for a period) in the house of Zainab bint Jahsh (one of the wives of the Prophet) and he used to drink honey in her house. Hafsa and I decided that when the Prophet entered upon either of us, she would say, “I smell in you the bad smell of Maghafir (a bad smelling raisin). Have you eaten Maghafir?” When he entered upon one of us, she said that to him. He replied (to her), “No, but I have drunk honey in the house of Zainab bint Jahsh, and I will never drink it again.” Then the following verse was revealed: ‘O Prophet ! Why do you ban (for you) that which Allah has made lawful for you?… (up to) If you two (wives of the Prophet turn in repentance to Allah.’ (66.1-4) The two were ‘Aisha and Hafsa And also the Statement of Allah: ‘And (Remember) when the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his wives!’ (66.3) i.e., his saying, “But I have drunk honey.” [al-Bukhari (5267) and Muslim (1474)]

O Prophet! Why do you ban (for yourself) that which Allāh has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allāh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (At-Tahrim 66:1)

-Allah rectified the rasul (saw) because if he didn’t drink it
-his ummah won’t and hence we would be a sick ummah
-because Allah put medicine in the honey
-it is impossible to go to any supermarket
-anywhere in the world and don’t find honey in the shelves

2. THE ANT

Till, when they came to the valley of the ants, one of the ants said: “O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Sulaimān (Solomon) and his hosts crush you, while they perceive not.” (An-Naml 27:18)

So he [Sulaimān (Solomon)] smiled, amused at her speech and said: “My Lord! Inspire and bestow upon me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favours which You have bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds that will please You, and admit me by Your Mercy among Your righteous slaves.” (An-Naml 27:19)

LESSONS FROM THE AYATS

1. ANIMALS HAVE A LANGUAGE THEY SPEAK
-this is why the ant was able to communicate

There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you. We have neglected nothing in the Book, then unto their Lord they (all) shall be gathered. (Al-An’am 6:38)

2. ANIMALS ARE ABLE TO RECOGNISE PEOPLE
-else the ant won’t have been able to recognise Sulayman (a.s)
-the dog recognises his master
-Jews are like elephants, they don’t forgive or forget

3. THE ANT WAS FEMALE

4. EVEN THE FEMALE ANIMALS HAVE MOTHERLY INSTINCTS
-she acted upon that when she cried out

5. ANIMALS HAVE EMOTIONS LIKE US

6. THE ANT WASN’T SELFISH

7. IT WAS AN ACT OF MERCY

8. SULAYMAN (A.S) WAS GIFTED TO UNDERSTAND THE LANGUAGE OF ALL ANIMALS

3. THE SPIDER

The likeness of those who take Auliyā’ (protectors and helpers) other than Allāh is as the likeness of a spider, who builds (for itself) a house, but verily, the frailest (weakest) of houses is the spider’s house; if they but knew. (Al-‘Ankabut 29:41)

This ayah has something interesting
-Allah compared the deeds of the kuffaar to the house of the spider
-because they perform deeds thinking they will meet them in the hereafter,
-only to go and find nothing
-likewise, the spider makes her house but the house is so weak
-it can’t last long and benefit her

Allah said that the female spider makes the house
-this is scientific evidence
-the Quran never contradicts science

When the rasul (saw) was migrating from Makkah to Madina
-Allah (swt) used the house of a spider to protect him
-though that is the weakest house
-the kuffaar didn’t enter the cave because of the web at the mouth of the cave

The female spider eats the male after sexual intercourse
-this is referred to as animal cannibalism
-the scientist (animal psychologists) can’t make up their mind on why she does this

1. Some say because she is hungry
2. Others say she is adding strength
3. Others say because he didn’t perform well during the sexual intercourse
4. She was jealous because she can’t cope with polygamy
5. Because the male is small

-the last point makes more sense
-because animal cannibalism takes place when the male is small

4. THE APE

5. THE SWINE

Allah (swt) made mentioned of these two animals in surah 5:60

Say (O Muhammad SAW to the people of the Scripture): “Shall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allāh: those (Jews) who incurred the Curse of Allāh and His Wrath, those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines, those who worshipped Tāghût (false deities); such are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell¬fire), and far more astray from the Right Path (in the life of this world).” (Al-Ma’idah 5:60)

-the Jews were told to stop working during the Sabbath
-but they tried to put a stun on Allah
-so He turned them into apes and swine
-Allah turned them into apes
-because they (the apes) copy what they see
-one fool makes another
-so Allah turned them to apes because the Jews
-were following those who were disobeying Allah

You are not allowed to be copycat
-think for yourself

Allah turned the others into swine because the swine is shameless
-the camel will never have intercourse in front of people
-but the swine will
-so they were shameless and broke the Sabbath
-hence Allah turned them into swine

Allah turned to swine those who broke the Sabbath
-and He transformed those who didn’t stop them into apes

6. THE DONKEY

The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Taurāt (Torah) (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practise its legal laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey who carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them). How bad is the example (or the likeness) of people who deny the Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allāh. And Allāh guides not the people who are Zālimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, disbelievers, etc.). (Al-Jumu’ah 62:5)

-Allah referred to the wicked scholars as donkeys (62:5)
-and those who raise their voices too when speaking

“And be moderate (or show no insolence) in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the harshest of all voices is the voice (braying) of the ass.” (Luqman 31:19)

-so it is not good manners to speak with a loud voice
-a woman who speaks with a loud voice is not from a good home
-she is uncouth

He said: “Nay, you have remained (dead) for a hundred years, look at your food and your drink, they show no change; and look at your donkey! And thus We have made of you a sign for the people. Look at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh”. When this was clearly shown to him, he said, “I know (now) that Allāh is Able to do all things.” (Al-Baqarah 2:259)

-the man thought he was dead for a day because his food was intact
-if a man doesn’t know the names and attributes of Allah
-this doesn’t give you the right to make takfir on him
-however if you know, memorise and act upon them
-you will enter the Jannat

Narrated By Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “A man who never did any good deed, said that if he died, his family should burn him and throw half the ashes of his burnt body in the earth and the other half in the sea, for by Allah, if Allah should get hold of him, He would inflict such punishment on him as He would not inflict on anybody among the people. But Allah ordered the sea to collect what was in it (of his ashes) and similarly ordered the earth to collect what was in it (of his ashes). Then Allah said (to the recreated man), ‘Why did you do so?’ The man replied, ‘For being afraid of You, and You know it (very well).’ So Allah forgave him.” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 9, Book 93, Hadith #597]

7. THE DOG

The dog was mentioned in surah Al-Kahf
-he was a believer and accompanied the sleepers
-his name was Qitmeer

(Remember) when the young men fled for refuge (from their disbelieving folk) to the Cave, they said: “Our Lord! Bestow on us mercy from Yourself, and facilitate for us our affair in the right way!” (Al-Kahf 18:10)

Therefore We covered up their (sense of) hearing (causing them, to go in deep sleep) in the Cave for a number of years. (Al-Kahf 18:11)

And you would have thought them awake, while they were asleep. And We turned them on their right and on their left sides, and their dog stretching forth his two forelegs at the entrance [of the Cave or in the space near to the entrance of the Cave (as a guard at the gate)]. Had you looked at them, you would certainly have turned back from them in flight, and would certainly have been filled with awe of them. (Al-Kahf 18:18)

-if you have a guard dog around, you are not doing anything wrong
-but pet dogs are haram

Narrated By Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “If somebody keeps a dog, he loses one Qirat (of the reward) of his good deeds everyday, except if he keeps it for the purpose of agriculture or for the protection of livestock.” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 54, Hadith #541]

Allah also referred to the wicked scholar as a dog in 7:175

And recite (O Muhammad SAW) to them the story of him to whom We gave Our Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), but he threw them away, so Shaitān (Satan) followed him up, and he became of those who went astray. (Al-A’raf 7:175)

And had We willed, We would surely have elevated him therewith but he clung to the earth and followed his own vain desire. So his description is the description of a dog: if you drive him away, he lolls his tongue out, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls his tongue out. Such is the description of the people who reject Our Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect. (Al-A’raf 7:176)

-Allah didn’t call the wicked scholars ‘scholars’
-He called them dogs and donkeys

Abu Dhar said, “I was with the Prophet (SAW) one day and I heard him saying: “There is something I fear for my Ummah than the Dajjal.” It was then that I became afraid, so I said: “Oh Rasool Allah! Which thing is that?” He (SAW) said; “Misguided and astray scholars.” [Musnad Ahmad (5/145) No. 21334 and 21335]

-Allah used the word Qitaal (fighting) so that the wicked scholars
-won’t be able to put a spin on the ayah as opposed to if jihad was used

Jihād (holy fighting in Allāh’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allāh knows but you do not know. (Al-Baqarah 2:216)

8. THE HORSE

-this Creation of Allah (swt) will always be important for the purpose of jihad, even today
-e.g. they can be quiet, unlike motor vehicles
-the terrain in areas such as Afghanistan is a complex terrain
-yet modern state of the art equipment can’t replace horses

The rasul (saw) said that there is barakah in the horses,
-they are used to make jihad

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), (Al-‘Adiyat 100:1)

Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), (Al-‘Adiyat 100:2)

And scouring to the raid at dawn (Al-‘Adiyat 100:3)

And raise the dust in clouds the while, (Al-‘Adiyat 100:4)

Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); (Al-‘Adiyat 100:5)

Verily! Man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord; (Al-‘Adiyat 100:6)

Urwah Bariqi reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses till the day of resurrection…it is reward and value. [Bukhari 2850, Muslim 1873, Tirmidhi 1700]

-horses are obedient
-and Allah said that man is ungrateful to his Lord
-after all their achievements attained through horses
-yet they don’t thank Allah for the achievements

Those who look after sheep and goat are humble
-but those who look after horses are proud because it is proud

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “Faith came from Yaman while disbelief came from the direction of east. The shepherds possess tranquility and humility while the keepers of camels and horses are arrogant and ostentatious. When the dajjaal will reach the Uhud Mountain, on its other side, the angels will turn him about towards the direction of Syria. And, there he will perish.’ [Tirmidhi 2250, Bukhari 3499, Muslim 52]

-Allah’s mention of horses in the Quran is linked to jihad

Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly. (Al-Anfal 8:60)

-in the last war on Gaza, the Jews saw rockets they have never seen before
-so they quickly agreed to a ceasefire
-the people of Gaza acted upon the above ayah
-and were prepared for their enemies

9. HUDHUD (HOOPOE)

He inspected the birds, and said: “What is the matter that I see not the hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees? (An-Naml 27:20)

“I will surely punish him with a severe torment, or slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear reason.” (An-Naml 27:21)

But the hoopoe stayed not long, he (came up and) said: “I have grasped (the knowledge of a thing) which you have not grasped and I have come to you from Saba’ (Sheba) with true news. (An-Naml 27:22)

“I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given all things that could be possessed by any ruler of the earth, and she has a great throne. (An-Naml 27:23)

“I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of Allāh, and Shaitān (Satan) has made their deeds fair-seeming to them, and has barred them from (Allāh’s) Way, so they have no guidance,” (An-Naml 27:24)

Al-Lā (this word has two interpretations) (A) [As Shaitān (Satan) has barred them from Allāh’s Way] so that they do not worship (prostrate before) Allāh, or (B) So that they may worship (prostrate before) Allāh, Who brings to light what is hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you conceal and what you reveal. [Tafsir At-Tabarī, Vol. 19, Page 149] (An-Naml 27:25)

Allāh, Lā ilāha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! (An-Naml 27:26)

[Sulaimān (Solomon)] said: “We shall see whether you speak the truth or you are (one) of the liars. (An-Naml 27:27)

-this is clear evidence highlighting the importance of punctuality
-unfortunately, Muslims have become well known for their lateness nowadays

(I will surely punish him with a severe torment) Al-A’mash said, narrating from Al-Minhal bin ‘Amr from Sa’id that Ibn Abbas said: “He meant, by plucking his feathers.” ‘Abdullah bin Shaddad said: “By plucking his feathers and exposing him to the sun.” This was also the view of more than one of the Salaf that means plucking his feathers and leaving him exposed to be eaten by ants. (or slaughter him,) means, killing him. (unless he brings me a clear reason.) i.e. a valid excuse, Sufyan bin ‘Uyaynah and ‘Abdullah bin Shaddad said: “When the hoopoe came back, the other birds said to him: “What kept you Sulayman has vowed to shed your blood.” The hoopoe said: “Did he make any exception (did he say ‘unless’) They said, “Yes, he said: (I will surely punish him with a severe torment or slaughter him, unless he brings me a clear reason.)” The hoopoe said, “Then I am saved.” [Tafseer Ibn Kathir]

-this bird was an expert on Water
-hence was very important in the army
-e.g. if the water was under the ground, he would detect it
-and the jinn would then be given the task to dig the ground for that water

So Suleiman (a.s) inspected the birds just as an army general would inspect his army
-this proves that you are allowed to punish animals
-the Punishment according to the tafseer of Ibn Abbas (r.a)
– was that Suleiman would pluck out his feathers

However the bird justified the delay on the basis of certain news relating to Sheba
-and this was news that Suleiman DID NOT KNOW about
-the news was that of a Woman’s kingdom
-who’s so rich there is nothing that a king could really add to

Hence the Queen had so much power; she had ownership over the people
-and the reason why this was possible,
-is because the nation she ruled were idol worshippers
-hence when you worship the CREATION instead of the CREATOR,
-you become easy to rule

So the bird’s news was that the people were worshipping the Sun, instead of Allah (swt)
-this is a clear indicator that the Bird was inherent with Tauheed

Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allāh. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (As-Saff 61:1)

-Qurtubi (in his tafseer) stated that when you see birds flapping their wings,
-that’s their salah
-also when the Rooster crows is for you to wake up for Fajr

Only Ath-thaqalain i.e. Man & Jinn rebel against Allah (swt)
-the bird on the other hand understood Tauheed, hence the news (to Sulaiman)
-you can use the above ayah (41:37) to refute sun worshippers

And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate to Allāh Who created them, if you (really) worship Him. (Fussilat 41:37)

White kaafirs have concocted a lame theory that ‘Allah’ is a moon god
-but then again it’s not surprising as they are compulsive liars
-hence the above ayah (41:37) CLEARLY Refutes the ‘moon god’ theory

-illah = deity
-Allah = THE ONLY Deity

-It was the natural instinct of the bird to follow Tauheed that enable it to be easily aware
-of the idolatry being perpetrated in Yemen
-Prophet Sulaiman told the bird that he will verify whether or not it was lying

O you who believe! If a rebellious evil person comes to you with a news, verify it, lest you harm people in ignorance, and afterwards you become regretful to what you have done. (Al-Hujurat 49:6)

-Prophet Sulaiman clearly adhered to the commandment in the above ayah (49:6)

Sulaiman’s army did not have Horses
-because they caused him to miss salatul ASR
-so his soldiers complained about how they can wage jihad without horses
-so Allah (swt) replaced the horses with the Jinn
-by giving Sulaiman dominion over the jinn

10. THE CATTLE

-Surah Baqarah is named after Cattle – the Cow
-An’am is the Arabic word for Cattle

Do they not see that We have created for them of what Our Hands have created, the cattle, so that they are their owners. (Ya-Sin 36:71)

And We have subdued them unto them so that some of them they have for riding and some they eat (Ya-Sin 36:72)

And they have (other) benefits from them (besides), and they get (milk) to drink, will they not then be grateful? (Ya-Sin 36:73)

-if you have a lot of cows, you are immensely rich

BENEFITS OF THE COW

1. It provides food
-i.e. you have milk to drink, meat to eat

2. Skin for making leather products, e.g. shoes, wallets, etc.

3. THE COW DUNG is rich in minerals, which is used as ‘manure’
-i.e. Natural Organic Fertilizer
-cow dung is also used as bio fuel to generate electricity in many countries
-as well as a mosquito destroyer
-as well as for making mud bricks, houses
-EVEN THE COW URINE is used as liquid fertilizer

4. As a medicine and to cure many diseases, (the urine)
-e.g. homeopathic treatment

5. THE COW HORN is used for medicinal purposes

The cow is so important the Hindus ended up worshipping it

11. THE CAMEL

-Ibil, Jamal or Jazoor are all Arabic names for the Camel
-depending on the Arab dialect
-Naaqa = female camel

Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? (Al-Ghashiyah 88:17)

-this animal can be used for many days without it needing water
-unlike dogs & pigs who don’t care who’s looking,
-camels are proud animals, and have a sense of shame during intimacy

Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “Faith came from Yaman while disbelief came from the direction of east. The shepherds possess tranquillity and humility while the keepers of camels and horses are arrogant and ostentatious. When the dajjal will reach the Uhud mountain, on its other side, the angels will turn him about towards the direction of Syria. And, there he will perish.’ [Tirmidhi 2250, Bukhari 3499, Muslim 52]

-Whenever you eat camel meat, your wudu is broken

Bara bin Aazib (RA) said that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) was asked about making ablution after eating camel flesh. He said, “Make ablution after that”. Then he was asked about mutton. He said, “It is not necessary after that.” [Sunan Dawud (1/47) No. 184, Sunan Tirmidhi (1/122) No. 81, Sunan Ibn Majah (1/311) No. 494, Musnad Ahmad (4/303) No 18725]

-the reason being that the CAMEL WAS MADE FROM THE JINN

On the authority of al-Bara’ bin ‘Azib: ‘that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) was asked about praying in camel pens. He replied; “Do not pray in camel pens, for they are of the devils.” And he was asked about praying in sheep pens. He replied: “pray there for they are of blessing.”‘ [Sunan Abu Dawud (1/133) No. 493]

On the authority of ‘Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Perform prayer in the sheep’s resting-places and do not perform prayer in the camels’ resting-places, for they were created from the devils.” [Musnad Ahmad (4/86) No. 16845, Sunan Ibn Majah (1/492) No. 769, Sahih Ibn Hibban (4/601) No. 1702, al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Bayhaqi (2/629) No. 4357]

The people of Saleh (a.s) in Thamud, living 500km North of Riyadh
-challenged their Prophet to make a Camel come out of a rock
-so he made a dua, and a pregnant She-Camel came out
-this camel was SO ABUNDANT, it had the capacity to provide milk to an entire city

To keep their side of the deal,
-they had to agree to the conditions to let it drink from the well every alternate day
-this camel had an appetite for water
-so they complained that it was drinking too much
-they also complained that its size was too big and was scaring other camels
-and Prophet Saleh heard from the grapevine that they were plotting to kill it
-eventually a bounty was sent out for the camel
-they did not heed subsequent warnings from Saleh
-hence Allah (swt)’s Wrath Came upon them

Thamûd (people) denied (their Prophet) through their transgression (by rejecting the true Faith of Islāmic Monotheism, and by following polytheism, and by committing every kind of sin). (Ash-Shams 91:11)

When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel). (Ash-Shams 91:12)

But the Messenger of Allāh [Sālih (Saleh)] said to them: “Be cautious! Fear the evil end. That is the she-camel of Allāh! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!” (Ash-Shams 91:13)

Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.)! (Ash-Shams 91:14)

And He (Allāh) feared not the consequences thereof. (Ash-Shams 91:15)

-when a person wants to be a kaafir, not even a ‘miracle’ will make him change!

12. THE WHALE

And, verily, Yûnus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. (As-Saffat 37:139)

When he ran to the laden ship, (As-Saffat 37:140)

He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, (As-Saffat 37:141)

Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. (As-Saffat 37:142)

Had he not been of them who glorify Allāh, (As-Saffat 37:143)

He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. (As-Saffat 37:144)

But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, (As-Saffat 37:145)

And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. (As-Saffat 37:146)

And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. (As-Saffat 37:147)

And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. (As-Saffat 37:148)

Hoot = Whale

In the above ayats, what was ‘worthy of blame’?
-i.e. what brought a curse on the ship was because Yunus (a.s) was running from da’wah

NOTE: The whale IS NOT A BIG ‘FISH’; it is a mammal

Abdullah Ibn Rafi’, the freed slave of Umm Salamah said I heard Abu Hurayrah narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “When Allah wanted to keep Yunus in the belly of the whale, He revealed to the whale. He said, “Take him inside but do not eat his flesh nor break his bones.” When the whale went down to the depth of the sea, Yunus heard a voice, he said to himself, “What is this?” Then Allah revealed to him, while he was inside the whale’s belly, that it was glorification of the sea animals. Then while in that state, Yunus also glorified Allah, which was heard by the angels. They then said, “O our Lord, we heard a very weak voice coming from unusual land.” Allah said, “That is My slave Yunus, he disobeyed me, so I detained him inside a whale in the sea.” They said, “Is he the pious slave from whom the good deeds ascended to You everyday and night?” Allah replied, “Yes”. So the angels then pleaded on his behalf, so Allah ordered the whale to throw him out on the shore.” [Tafseer al-Tabari (18/518), Tafseer Ibn Abi Hatim (10/3227) No. 18278, Musnad al-Bazzar (15/34) No. 8227 and Tafseer Ibn Katheer (5/367)]

-had Yunus not made dhikr ‘constantly’ while in the belly of the whale
-Allah (swt) would have made him stay in the belly of the whale
-until the Day of Judgement Day
-the Whale’s stomach acids caused injury to Yunus

Everything in the sea is halal

Abu Huraira reported that a man asked the Prophet (SAW): ‘We travel in the sea and we carry with us little water. If we used it for wudu then we would be suffering thirst! So should we still use this water for wudu?’ The Prophet (SAW) replied: “Its [sea] water is pure and its dead meat [fish and whatever lives in sea and die by leaving it] is Halal to eat” [Sunan Tirmidhi (1/100) No. 69, Sunan Abu Dawud (1/21) No. 83, Sunan al-Nasa’i (1/50) No. 59, Sunan Ibn Majah (1/250) No. 386, Sunan al-Darime (1/201) No. 729, Musnad Ahmad (2/361) No. 8720]

13. THE ELEPHANT

Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka’bah at Makkah]. (Al-Fil 105:1)

Million Dollar Question: Can we eat Elephant meat?
-according to the Hanbali Madhab, elephant meat is Makrooh

Abraha built a huge church in Ethiopia
-and told people to make pilgrimage there, INSTEAD OF HAJJ to Makkah

Abraha was Yemeni, but he ruled Yemen on Behalf of Ethiopia
-because Ethiopia was a super power back then
-a merchant from the tribe of Quraish visited that church
-and DEFECATED in there, plastering his feces on the walls of that church
-when Abraha heard of that he was bent on revenge
-i.e. to destroy the Ka’ba

His army was made up of Elephants,
-which were as good as tanks back then!
-note: these elephants were specially trained for war

Before he arrived in Makkah, he arranged a meeting with Abdul Mutallib
-who came to ask for him to free his 100 camels
-Abraha said he lost respect for him
-because he was coming to tear down the Ka’ba and he was concerned about his camels
-Abdul Mutallib told him that Allah (swt) is the Lord of the Ka’ba
-and Allah (swt) is Sufficient to Protect His House

Abraha proceeded to tear down the Ka’ba,
-and his biggest Elephant was named Mahmoud
-he refused to go ahead to tear down the ka’ba
-because he was a Muslim and the ka’ba will only be torn down by a kaafir

Narrated By Abu Huraira: The Prophet (SAW); said, “Dhus-Suwaiqa-tain (literally: One with two lean legs) from Ethiopia will demolish the Ka’ba.” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 2, Book 26, Hadith #661]

Narrated By Ibn Abbas: The Prophet said, “As if I were looking at him, a black person with thin legs plucking the stones of the Ka’ba one after another.” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 2, Book 26, Hadith #665]

When these elephant approached the Ka’ba, they refused to budge
-they tried everything to get them to tear down the Ka’ba, but they refused!
-because Animals are inherently Muslim

To punish the army, Allah (swt) sent birds to drop pebbles
-which WHEN DROPPED increased in Weight, equivalent to ONE TONNE
-so Abraha’s army were squashed upon the landing of those stones of baked clay

Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka’bah at Makkah]. (Al-Fil 105:1)

Did He not make their plot go astray? (Al-Fil 105:2)

And sent against them birds, in flocks, (Al-Fil 105:3)

Striking them with stones of Sijjīl. (Al-Fil 105:4)

And made them like an empty field of stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle). (Al-Fil 105:5)

LESSON:
1. The Prophet (saw)’s Grandfather made a dua to Allah (swt) to protect the Ka’ba
-thus Allah (swt) Can Answer Dua of Kuffar

2. Animals are Muslims (owing to Mahmoud’s reluctance to do damage)

14. THE SHEEP

And the example of those who disbelieve, is as that of him who shouts to the (flock of sheep) that hears nothing but calls and cries. (They are) deaf, dumb and blind. So they do not understand. (Al-Baqarah 2:171)

O you who believe! Kill not game while you are in a state of Ihrām for Hajj or ‘Umrah (pilgrimage), and whosoever of you kills it intentionally, the penalty is an offering, brought to the Ka’bah, of an eatable animal (i.e. sheep, goat, cow, etc.) equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or, for expiation, he should feed Masākin (poor persons), or its equivalent in Saum (fasting), that he may taste the heaviness (punishment) of his deed. Allāh has forgiven what is past, but whosoever commits it again, Allāh will take retribution from him. And Allāh is All¬ Mighty, All-Able of Retribution. (Al-Ma’idah 5:95)

Hence in the state of Ihram during Hajj you are not to:
-kill game
-clip your nails
-intimacy
-cut your hair
-make marriage proposals
-wear perfume

15. THE GOAT

Eight pairs; of the sheep two (male and female), and of the goats two (male and female). Say: “Has He forbidden the two males or the two females, or (the young) which the wombs of the two females enclose? Inform me with knowledge if you are truthful.” (Al-An’am 6:143)

16. THE LOCUST

So We sent on them: the flood, the locusts, the lice, the frogs, and the blood: (as a succession of) manifest signs, yet they remained arrogant, and they were of those people who were Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). (Al-A’raf 7:133)

-Locusts are halal to eat

17. THE LICE

You might be thinking how this co-exists with Ali (r.a)
-burning people in a ditch when he was caliph
-ANS: That was the personal Ijtihad of Ali

Ibn Mas’ud said, “We were with the Messenger of Allah (SAW) on a journey and he went to relieve himself. We saw a red bird with two chicks and took the chicks. The red bird came and began to flap its wings. The Prophet (SAW) came back and said, ‘Who has distressed this bird by taking its young? Return her young to her.’ He saw an ant hill which we had set alight. He said, ‘Who has set fire to this?’ We replied, ‘We did.’ He said, ‘Only the Lord of the Fire should punish with fire.'” [Sunan Abu Dawud (3/55) No. 2675]

19. THE MULE

-this is a product of a horse mating with a donkey

And (He has created) horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment. And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge. (An-Nahl 16:8)

-how do you get a ‘Liger’?
-that’s a cross-breed of a Lion mating with a Tiger

20. THE SNAKE

“And throw your stick!” But when he saw it moving as if it were a snake, he turned in flight, and looked not back. (It was said): “O Mûsa (Moses)! Draw near, and fear not. Verily, you are of those who are secure. (Al-Qasas 28:31)

-this proves that it is our natural instinct to fear snakes
-snakes declared a war against mankind
-e.g. dogs can bring up a baby in their community
-yet a snake will swallow a human baby

Ibn Kathir’s Tafseer states that when the shaytan wanted
-to possess an animal in order to tempt Adam,
-ONLY the snake welcomed him

21. THE MOSQUITO

-Allah (swt) mentioned the mosquito by its name in the Qur’an

Verily, Allāh is not ashamed to set forth a parable even of a mosquito or so much more when it is bigger (or less when it is smaller) than it. And as for those who believe, they know that it is the Truth from their Lord, but as for those who disbelieve, they say: “What did Allāh intend by this parable?” By it He misleads many, and many He guides thereby. And He misleads thereby only those who are Al-Fāsiqûn (the rebellious, disobedient to Allāh). (Al-Baqarah 2:26)

-the Arabs were impressed with Quran when it spoke of big animals
-when Allah (swt) revealed the steeds of war, they were impressed too
-because they loved horses
-but when Allah spoke of the fly and the spider they were not impressed
-they asked why Allah is using these examples

Allah says He can use any example from His creation He wants
-the most despicable animal in the world is the mosquito
-it sucks your blood and gives you disease
-some may say that using mosquito as example may bring the Quran into disrepute
-they were refuted in 2:26

The mosquito is very important and is one of the top ten animals that kill people every year

1. The wolf – 2 people a year

2. The shark kills 5-10 people a year
-so they are not as dangerous as you think

3. The dog kills 50 people a year

4. The deer -100 people a year

5. The Hippo – 400 people a year

6. The crocodile – 1,000 people a year

7. The scorpion – 3,000 people a year

8. The snake – 50,000 people a year

9. The mosquito – 2 million a year
-mostly in Africa through transmitting the malaria parasite

10. The human – 7 million a year
-but shaikh doesn’t consider them as animals

So the mosquito is the highest killer
-Bill Gates has a foundation that concentrates on fighting
-TB, AIDS and malaria
-so how can you say that the mosquito is not important
-they forced the hands of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet

For those who speak Arabic
-ba’ood and ba’ooda makes the difference between the male and female mosquito
-Allah (swt) mentioned the female because it is what gives you malaria
-and sings in your ear when you want to sleep

Allah singled out the female spider because they build their web
-also the female bees make the honey and build the hives
-likewise the female mosquito transmits the malaria parasite
-these are scientific facts that have been proven

When germs are introduced to your body
-the white blood cells get to work
-so is not good to be too clean
-so the mosquito helps with your immune system
-by them introducing the malaria parasite

-so the believer when he sees a mosquito
-he doesn’t say ‘what a despicable animal’
-but contemplates about the creation of Allah as in the above ayahs
-and praises Allah (swt)

Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding. (Aali Imran 3:190)

Those who remember Allāh (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying): “Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire. (Aali Imran 3:191)

-the mosquito holds the half the world as hostage
-so you can’t under estimate her importance

22. THE WOLF

They said:”O our father! We went racing with one another, and left Yûsuf (Joseph) by our belongings and a wolf devoured him; but you will never believe us even when we speak the truth.” (Yusuf 12:17)

And they brought his shirt stained with false blood. He said: “Nay, but your ownselves have made up a tale. So (for me) patience is most fitting. And it is Allāh (Alone) Whose help can be sought against that which you assert.” (Yusuf 12:18)

-Aisha (r.a) recited these verses when she was slandered (12:18)

Narrated Umm Ruman: Who was ‘Aisha’s mother: While I was with ‘Aisha, ‘Aisha got fever, whereupon the Prophet said, “Probably her fever is caused by the story related by the people (about her).” I said, “Yes.” Then ‘Aisha sat up and said, My example and your example is similar to that of Jacob and his sons:–‘Nay, but your minds have made up a tale. So (for me) patience is most fitting. It is Allah (alone) Whose help can be sought against that which you assert.’ [12:18] [Sahih Bukhari, Book 60, Hadith #213]

-on those days there were no DNA testing facilities to verify the blood on the shirt
-but then how was the prophet Yaqub (a.s) so sure that the blood was not Yusuf’s (a.s)
-a criminologist will ask ‘how can the wolf eat Yusuf (a.s)
-and not a single hole is on the shirt

23. THE LION

Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey (Al-Muddaththir 74:51)

When shaikh was on tour of Nigeria
-a man was eaten by a lion when he went into its den
-had the lion not eaten him, he would have been a millionaire
-he had in mind to go on a world tour to give interviews and all

Lions and tigers shouldn’t be in the same place
-this is why Allah (swt) put lions in Africa and tigers in India
-but the Whiteman is so busy body he took the lions to India
-now there is a liger (half tiger, half lion)
-he can’t leave things the way Allah wants them

24. THE CROW

Then Allāh sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him to hide the dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said: “Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother?” Then he became one of those who regretted. (Al-Ma’idah 5:31)

In the time of Adam (a.s) the law was different
-brothers and sisters used to marry
-but the law was that Cain should marry the twin sister of Abel
-but Cain was not ready for that because his sister was prettier
-he complained to Adam for Allah (swt) to change the law
-he was asked to sacrifice something
-Cain sacrificed food that wasn’t good quality
-whilst Abel sacrificed a full sheep
-Allah accepted the sacrifice of Abel
-Cain threatened to kill him but Abel wasn’t going to fight him

“If you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, I shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you, for I fear Allāh; the Lord of the ‘Alamīn (mankind, jinns, and all that exists).” (Al-Ma’idah 5:28)

“Verily, I intend to let you draw my sin on yourself as well as yours, then you will be one of the dwellers of the Fire, and that is the recompense of the Zālimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers).” (Al-Ma’idah 5:29)

-so if a person should kill you, he’ll take all your sins

-hence the nafs of the other brother made his crime fair seeming
-the first murder was over a woman
-Allah sent a crow to teach him what to do with his brother’s body

So the Nafs (self) of the other (latter one) encouraged him and made fair¬seeming to him the murder of his brother; he murdered him and became one of the losers. (Al-Ma’idah 5:30)
Then Allāh sent a crow who scratched the ground to show him to hide the dead body of his brother. He (the murderer) said: “Woe to me! Am I not even able to be as this crow and to hide the dead body of my brother?” Then he became one of those who regretted. (Al-Ma’idah 5:31)

-Allah didn’t say that he ‘repented’ but he ‘regretted’
-so don’t confuse the two

The rasul (saw) said that Cain always shares in the sin of anyone who commits murder
-because he was the one who established the Sunnah of murder
-it is said that 7m people are killed every year

Abdullah Ibn Mas‘ud (RA) narrated the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “No soul is killed unlawfully, but there is a share of the sin on the first son of Adam, because he was the first one to set the precedent of killing.” [Related by al-Bukhari (3335) and Muslim (1677)]

25. THE FLY

O mankind! A similitude has been coined, so listen to it (carefully): Verily! Those on whom you call besides Allāh, cannot create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly snatched away a thing from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought. (Al-Hajj 22:73)

This is talking about Tauheed Ar-Rububiyya
-Louise Farrakhan in the USA
-believes that the Whiteman was created by a mad scientist called Yaqub
-he doesn’t believe that Allah is the only Creator
-He is Al-Khaliq

26. THE QUAIL

And We shaded you with clouds and sent down on you Al-Manna and the quails, (saying): “Eat of the good lawful things We have provided for you,” (but they rebelled). And they did not wrong Us but they wronged themselves. (Al-Baqarah 2:57)

Bani Israel were given this blessing by Allah from the heavens
-also they had the clouds as umbrella to protect them from the heat of the sun

-Umar (r.a) used the same word when he was addressing a man
-who lost the balance between dunya and aakhira
-and we are a balanced nation

27. THE WORM

Then when We decreed death for him [Sulaimān (Solomon)], nothing informed them (jinns) of his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his stick, so when he fell down, the jinns saw clearly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment. (Saba’ 34:14)

This Quran is a book of psychology
-the jinns were continuing working for Sulayman (a.s) even after he was dead
-until the worms ate up his stick
-so you should not look down on any of the creation of Allah (swt)

Those who remember Allah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth, (saying) : “Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire. (Aali Imran 3:191)

-Allah (swt) is not Frivolous (there is a reason for everything He does)

28. THE FISH

But when they reached the junction of the two seas, they forgot their fish, and it took its way through the sea as in a tunnel. (Al-Kahf 18:61)

Prophet Musa (a.s) had a companion called Joshua when he was going to seek knowledge
-the fish they had with them for lunch jumped into the sea
-but Joshua was so overwhelmed that he forgot to tell Musa about this

Lawful to you is (the pursuit of) water¬game and its use for food – for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel, but forbidden is (the pursuit of) land¬game as long as you are in a state of Ihram (for Hajj or ‘Umrah). And fear Allah to Whom you shall be gathered back. (Al-Ma’idah 5:96)

-fish is not among the animals that break ihram
-fish oil is the most important tablet under the heaven

And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. (An-Nahl 16:14)

-it contains Omega-3 oil which makes you very intelligent
-men with low sperm count when they take this no longer have this problem
-it helps protect you from cardio-vascular disease
-it regulates your blood pressure, improves the blood flow
-and fights against blood clotting
-and improves potency

It helps fight against arthritis
-removes the discomfort of swollen and sensitive joints
-the fish diet improves your immune system

FISH HELPS FIGHT THE FOLLOWING

1. Arthritis

2. Ulcer of the colon

3. To combat patchy skin

4. Glaucoma
-A sickness of the eyes that causes blindness

5. Multiple sclerosis -the hardening of the tissues

6. Osteoporosis – the weakening of the bone

7. Diabetes

8. Migraine headache

9. Anorexia

10. Burns and problems related to skin health

11. Infertility in men

12. Impotence

-THIS IS WHY ALLAH (SWT) RECOMMENDED THAT YOU EAT FISH

And He it is Who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty (by transporting the goods from place to place) and that you may be grateful. (An-Nahl 16:14)

29. THE BEAST

And when the Word (of torment) is fulfilled against them, We shall bring out from the earth a beast to them, which will speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in Our Ayāt (Verses of the Qur’ān and Prophet Muhammad SAW). (An-Naml 27:82)

One of the signs of the last days is that a beast will come out in Makkah
-and speak to the people in their language
-and he will stamp the people as Muslim or kaafir
-so no need to ask anymore
-this sign is so important Allah made mentioned of it in the Quran
-after its appearance taubah can’t be made or shahada taken

30. THE FOWL

And the flesh of fowls that they desire. (Al-Waqi’ah 56:21)

It is not the same as the quail
-it is from the earth whilst the quail is from the heaven

Shaikh, there are some animals that are gay or display/practice homosexual behaviors; example chimpanzees, a specific type of Dolphin, sometimes birds, Beluga whales and the list goes on. Also, some female animals kill or abandon their babies.

ANSWER_1:-

-the reason the cobra abandons her eggs is because she eats snakes
-some animals eat their babies
-so they abandon them in order not to harm them

The reason animals have homosexual tendencies is because the animal’s brain is damaged
-something happened to the animal
-they autopsied a sheep and found out that it had brain damage
-this is why it was doing homosexual actions
-this is not natural for them
-they normally fight one another
-two bulls can’t be in the same pen
-they will kill each other

QUESTION_2:-

Assalamu alaikum Shaikh, nabi Sulaiman (a.s) had many powers by Allah’s permission. Would you be infringing on his legacy if you asked Allah for the gift of understanding the language of Animals?

ANSWER_2:-

-if you ask Allah to give you dominion over the jinn you are infringing
-playing with horses caused Sulaiman to forget ASR salah
-Allah took the horses and gave him jinn

Narrated Abu Huraira: “The Prophet said, “Last night a big demon (afreet) from the jinns came to me and wanted to interrupt my prayers (or said something similar) but Allah enabled me to overpower him. I wanted to fasten him to one of the pillars of the mosque so that all of you could See him in the morning but I remembered the statement of my brother Solomon (as stated in Quran): My Lord! Forgive me and bestow on me a kingdom such as shall not belong to anybody after me (38.35).” The sub narrator Rauh said, “He (the demon) was dismissed humiliated.” (Bukhari Book #8, Hadith #450)

Assalamu alaikum, as for the mistakes of the ulama, is it supposed to be hidden? I hear this concept and I thought it should be told to the people for the good of the ummah. Is this a new concept or the salaf practiced this?

-if it is with the deen then it has to be made public
-make public repentance
-a shaikh’s taubah is to be made publicly

Is it true that we are allowed to kill the black dog as it is possessed with jinn?

-the prophet (saw) said the black dog is the shaytan

Abdullah ibn Mughaffa reported that Allah’s Messenger said, “ Were dogs not a creation of the creations (of Allah). I would have commanded that all of them should be exterminated. So, kill all those of them that are black.” [Tirmidhi 1491, Ahmed 16788]

-any dog that bites people you have to kill it

It was reported from ‘Abdullah ibn al-Samit that Abu Dharr said: “The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘If any one of you stands up to pray, then he has a sutrah [an item placed in front of a praying person as a “screen”] if he has something the height of the back of a saddle in front of him. If he does not have something the height of the back of a saddle in front of him, then his prayer is invalidated if a donkey or a woman or a black dog passes in front of him.’” I [‘Abdullah] asked, “O Abu Dharr, what is the difference between a black dog and a red or yellow dog?” He said, “O son of my brother, I asked the Messenger of Allah (SAW) the same question, and he said, ‘The black dog is a shaytan (devil).’” [Sahih Muslim (1/365) No. 510, Sunan Abu Dawud (1/187) No. 702, Sunan al-Nasa’i (2/63) No. 750, Sunan Tirmidhi (2/161) No. 338, Sunan Ibn Majah (2/102) No. 952, Musnad Ahmad (5/155) No. 21415]

-there is no doubt animals can detect Islam and Emaan

-e.g. In France a dog ate half the face of a woman
-because her lifestyle was not a decent lifestyle

Animals are afraid of us because they are not sure if we are going to hurt them or not
-just like us, animals also have a natural instinct to fear death
-even on Eid, it’s not allowed to kill one animal in front of another
-when animals attack, it’s a pre-emptive strike
-because it’s not sure if you’re going to hurt it

QUESTION 6:-

My brother who is married to a Muslimah is having affairs with kaffir women behind her back and I have confronted him about this several times and he says it’s no big deal that he can stop himself whenever he wants and tries but never does. I am close friends with his wife and it is killing me because she is so kind and loves him. Am I obligated Islamically to tell her, am I committing a sin if I don’t tell her?

ANSWER_6:-

-If she asks you, it’s best you are honest with her and tell her what is happening
-some people may disagree on the basis that you are allowed to lie to save a marriage

…Ibn Shihab said he did not hear that exemption was granted in anything what the people speak as lie but in three cases: in battle, for bringing reconciliation amongst persons and the narration of the words of the husband to his wife, and the narration of the words of a wife to her husband (in a twisted form in order to bring reconciliation between them). [Sahih Muslim, Book 32, Hadith #6303]

-however the reason I suggest this is because you may save her LIFE
-i.e. save her from catching an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) such as the AIDS Virus

What’s your opinion about the so called ahl al hadith of the Asian subcontinent those who hate the madhahib of Ahle Sunnah & often insult 4 A’imma? Also they say the mujahideen are terrorists.

ANSWER_7:-

-these Ahlul hadeeth are Saudi Salafis
-also known as MADkhali
-they have hatred for the Mujahideen
-they are the same people who claim to dismantle the sharia is a minor kufr

They slander Muhammad (saw) by using the Treaty of Hudaibiyya
-as an excuse to legitimize joining the UN
-they went against the Ijmaa of the Ummah
-i.e. stating that to dismantle the Sharia is a MINOR Kufr (i.e. kufr duna kufr)

Say (O Muhammad SAW to the people of the Scripture): “Shall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allāh: those (Jews) who incurred the Curse of Allāh and His Wrath, those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines, those who worshipped Tāghût (false deities); such are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell¬fire), and far more astray from the Right Path (in the life of this world).” (Al-Ma’idah 5:60)

-insinuating Allah (swt) was Over-Reacting (in the above Ayah, 5:60)
-salah behind them is Baatil
-because they are major hypocrites
-and their aqeeda is toxic
-they put conditions on jihad that are dodgy

To believe in Allah (swt) is not enough to make you a Muslim
-you also have to REJECT THE TAGHOOT

O Prophet (Muhammad SAW)! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be harsh against them, their abode is Hell, – and worst indeed is that destination. (At-Tawbah 9:73)

There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Tāghût and believes in Allāh, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allāh is All-Hearer, All-Knower. (Al-Baqarah 2:256)

QUESTION 8:-

A friend of mine has a friend who has been in a conversation with a man regarding marriage for three months and has ended up doing phone sex, she would like to know if marrying him is permissible and how is the best way of seeking forgiveness for her wrong doing?

ANSWER_8:-

-According to Hanbali fiqh
-if you committed zina with a man
-then even when you marry him, there will be no barakah in the marriage
-however let her make taubah and the marriage is valid

What is your opinion of these articles of the new Egyptian constitution by Muslim brotherhood: Article 5: Sovereignty is for the people alone and they are the source of authority. Article 6: The political system is based on the principles of democracy. Article 33: All citizens are equal before the law!

ANSWER_9:-

-these articles are kufr
-because Sovereignty (i.e. MULK, dominion) belongs to ALLAH (SWT) ALONE
-the statement that says that the political system is based on Democracy is also Kufr!
-Article 33 is Kufr again
-i.e. there are a lot of Coptic Christians in Egypt

Shall We then treat the (submitting) Muslims like the Mujrimûn (criminals, polytheists and disbelievers, etc.)? (Al-Qalam 68:35)

What is the matter with you? How judge you? (Al-Qalam 68:36)

-when addressing those who say “all the citizens of Pakistan/Egypt/etc. are equal”
-don’t forget the above ayah (68:36); this should checkmate them!
-ALWAYS REMIND democrats about the above ayah

QUESTION 10:-

If a man divorces his wife she has to spend her iddah in his house and he can take her back within that period, what if the woman gives the talaq or khula, does she still spend the iddah in his house?

Answer 10:-

Whenever a woman gives khula
-normally she doesn’t spend the iddah in his house
-because she wants to get away from him
-she stays with him if he divorces her (talaq)
-the iddah is three menstruations
-and even though you pronounced divorce on your wife
-she is still your wife until the three months elapse
-only intercourse breaks the iddah
-so kissing and all doesn’t break the iddah

After the three months, you need a new marriage contract (aqd nikah)
-else she can move on to marry another man
-the iddah for khula is one menstruation

Can the beast of the earth be a symbolic sign rather than an actual animal? There are some who say that it might be more than that because of the hadith that dajjaal will come on a donkey with its ears stretched out, which is symbolically the airplane. Please comment.

Please do not listen to these conspiracy theories
-a shaikh says that the beast is symbolic and uses symbols to explain these signs
-also some say that the dajjaal is the TV
-the dajjaal is human and a Jew
-these signs are not symbols but literal

Animals see angels and jinns as well

Narrated By Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “When you hear the crowing of cocks, ask for Allah’s Blessings for (their crowing indicates that) they have seen an angel. And when you hear the braying of donkeys, seek Refuge with Allah from Satan for (their braying indicates) that they have seen a Satan.” [Sahih Bukhari, Vol 4, Book 54, Hadith #522]

-the rooster sees the angels

Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah reported that the Prophet (SAW), said “Do not go out often after the night is still. Allah has animals which he sends out. Anyone who hears the barking of a dog or the braying of a donkey should seek refuge with Allah from the Accursed Shaytan. They see what you do not see.” [al-Adab al-Mufrad al-Bukhari, No. 1233 and al-Sunan al-Kubra al-Nasa’i (9/344) No. 10712]

-the donkey sees a jinn and brays
-so you make dua when you hear the crow of the rooster
-and seeks refuge from Allah when you hear the braying of the donkey

QUESTION 13:-

Does fish help in eczema? And before when I was a nasraani (Christian) they indoctrinated us with the belief that this daaba (the beast) will be the beast with 666. What does the book of Allah say regarding the Christians and their lies?

Answer 13:-

The fish diet helps with skin problems
-and improves your blood flow and potency of the man

The beast that the Christians talk about is the same as what the Muslims talk about
-but the Muslims have a better and correct understanding
-ignore what the Christians have to say about the beast and so on

And when the Word (of torment) is fulfilled against them, We shall bring out from the earth a beast to them, which will speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in Our Ayāt (Verses of the Qur’ān and Prophet Muhammad SAW). (An-Naml 27:82)

Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, The dabbah (the beast) will come out and with it the ring of Sulayman and the staff of Musa with which it will scratch a line on the Believer’s face. And it will shine. The animal will place a seal on the disbeliever’s face with the ring. The people will assemble at the dining mat and call out (to each other), “O you Believer”! “O you disbeliever”! [Tirmidhi 3198, Ahmed 7942, Ibn e Majah 4066]



QUESTION 14:-

Is it possible for a person possessed by a Jinn or Jinns still do acts of worship like (1) Pray/do Salah/Namaaz (2) Enter a Mosque (3) And read/recite Quran?

Answer 14:-

Yes it is possible
-sometimes the possession is not acute
-sometimes the jinni is a Muslim and does it for mischief
-if a kaafir, then it may cause you to do haram

A jinni may possess you because he fell in love with you
-or a person who dabbles in black magic can set the jinns on you
-and then charges you to take it off
-it may possess you because it wants to take revenge
-a sahabi was killed by a jinni because he urinated in a hole that was inhabited by it

Qatadah related from ‘Abdullah ibn Sarjas who said, “The Messenger of Allah forbade urination into a hole.” Said Qatadah, “What is disliked about urinating into a hole?” Said he, “It is the residence of the jinn.” [related by Ahmad, an-Nasa’i, Abu Dawud, al-Hakim and al-Baihaqi. Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn as-Sakin classified it as sahih]
