Message of Maulana for our Times: “Be Rabbani”

You Played with Technology and Defied Reality!

By Maulana Sheikh Nazim , Lefke, 08.01.2012

” Haqq (swt) says, “O My servant! Obey Me and I will make you Rabbani. I will give you knowledge. O My servant!” That knowledge could make a person of zero value reach to a level where if he says to something “Be,” it will be ( Kun faya Kun). There is no need to exhaust yourself with technology, no! Obeying the Lord will open for you an area that you never thought about or that you can ever understand. Allahu Akbar! Forgive us, O Lord.”

Astonishing! Astonishing! Allah! With the power of the spirit (…)

wa yasa’loonak `ani ‘r-rooh quli ‘r-roohu min amri rabbee wa maa uteetum min al-`ilmi illa qaleelan. Say (O Muhammad), “The soul is from the affair of your Lord, but what you have been given of knowledge is very little (O men).” (17:85)

Human beings have such power that their vision can reach galaxies or any distance in an instant. Allahu Akbar! The deputies of Allah (swt) have been created with different abilities. SubhanAllah. They say the light of the North Pole star reaches the Earth after forty light years and that is how our power reaches.

يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ
Yaa ‘ayyuha ‘l-’insaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbika ‘l-Kareem. O Man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Bountiful? (al-’Infitaar, 82:6)

SubhanAllah! Our bodies are considered as nothing, but the power Allah (swt) granted from His bounty to servants is astonishing! You may ask about this matter, but what can you understand of it? You do not understand and the only answer is, “Say, ‘The spirit comes by the command of my Lord.’” Allahu Akbar al-Akbar. Allah, Allah! Galaxies are described as being millions, trillions, or quadrillions of light years away. So far their light doesn’t reach us, but with the vision of human beings who are just one step higher, he can see that galaxy!

وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ
wa laqad karamna Bani Adam. We have honored the Children of Adam. (Surat al-‘Israa, 17:70)

Allahu Akbar al-Akbar! SubhanAllah. Sultan Allah. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee.

Tawbah, astaghfirullah. The human being must value himself; now he does not value himself or any other human being. They think we are worthless and of course we are not!

هَذَا عَطَاؤُنَا فَامْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
Haadha `ataa’una famnun ‘aw ‘amsik bi ghayri hisaab. This is Our gift to grant or withhold. (Surat as-Saad, 38:39)

SubhanAllah! SubhanAllah ‘l-`Aliyyu ‘l-`Azheem. Now the human being does not value himself or any other human. Allah (swt) granted human beings something of which even they, who are granted generously from their Lord, are not aware! If he knew what he has been granted, he would not oppress or disagree with anyone (as he would respect all others). Allah (swt) has granted value to the Children of Adam, but between themselves they do not value that!

attar_1bSubhaanahu wa ta`ala. Yaa Rabbee. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee. Tawbah, yaa Rabbee. Tawbah. He does not get occupied with one matter over any other! Who has the right from among the Children of Adam? Some are dressed with an order, and they value themselves and others. This value cannot be measured with a scale or other forms of measurement; rather, we must look to ourselves, who have been created by Al-Haqq (swt)!

هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَوِّرُكُمْ فِي الأَرْحَامِ كَيْفَ يَشَاء لاَ إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
Huwa ‘l-ladhi yusawwirukum fi ‘l-’arhaam kayfa yashaa’u. He is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases. (Aali-`Imraan, 3:6)

Who is Huwa, “He”? He (swt) has no limit: “He is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases.” He did not say, “Allah is the One Who…” but He said, “He is the One Who…” Where is He?

One time a Jewish man asked Sayyidina `Ali (r), “Where is Allah?” and he replied, “The One Who created ‘where’ has no ‘where.'”

“Where” is from the creation of Allah (swt). To define realities for Man from the Unlimited Ocean is considered nothing (so small in the Divine scheme). Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, laa ilaaha illa-Llah. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, wa lillahi ‘l-hamd!

It is a pity that human beings in this time do not put any effort into knowing about things related to Heavens, but instead they are busy with things that they have no chance to attain. No! Allah (swt) has put boundaries and limits for everything. It is impossible for you to go beyond your boundary. Your vision is something and his vision (pointing to someone) is something else.

Allahu Akbar! Subhaanahu wa Ta`ala, yaa Rabbee! Teach us, so we may stop the pointless and tasteless arguments between ourselves. Why are there wars and arguments between people and for what reason are they divided? They are divided from beginning to end, but then they leave or are taken away and they drop everything. No one will take anything from this material world to the spiritual world, no! When Man’s spirit is fully active then he can say to something “Be!” and it is. What would he want from the whole world when he is in that state?

One day a young graduate of the University of Damascus knocked on the door. I opened it and he said, “I wanted to visit you, O shaykh.”

I said, “Welcome to you.” He told me about himself, and then I said to him, “If you have graduated from the University of Damascus, tell me one hadith or something that you have learned.”

يا عبدي اطعني اجعلك ربانيا تقول لشي كن فيكون
Yaa `abdee ati`anee aj`aluka Rabbaniyyan taqoolu li shay’in kun fayakoon. O My servant! Obey Me and I will make you Rabbani, you can say to a thing “Be!” and it will be.

He said, “Allah (swt) said through the Prophet (s), ‘O My servant! O My servant!’” (To be addressed by Allah) is an endless honor! “O My servant! Obey Me. I will make you Rabbani.” (Hadith Qudsi) He will make you Rabbani. Then the Prophet (s) explained Al-Haqq’s words to His servants by saying, “If you say to a thing ‘Be!’ it will be.”

I will make you Rabbani.” “Rabbani” is related to the Lord, but a human being can be Rabbani and say to a thing “Be” and it will be! However, human beings in our time now, which is the time of the first ignorance and the worst also, do not look at the hadith that Allah (swt) granted to the Prophet (s). He (swt) said, “O My servant! Obey Me and I will make you Rabbani. If you say to something ‘Be,’ it will be.” Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Sayyidina Muhammadun Rasoolullah (s).

Now people in our time are busy with useless things. They say, “We are in the era of technology. We do everything with the technology that we have.” Haqq (swt) says, “O My servant! Obey Me and I will make you Rabbani. I will give you knowledge. O My servant!” That knowledge could make a person of zero value reach to a level where if he says to something “Be,” it will be. There is no need to exhaust yourself with technology, no! Obeying the Lord will open for you an area that you never thought about or that you can ever understand. Allahu Akbar! Forgive us, O Lord.

Fatihah.

(Mawlana Shaykh stands) Dastoor yaa Sayyidi, madad. Laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammad Rasoolullah `alayhi salaatullah. wa salaamuh, mina ‘l-azal ila ‘l-abad. Madad yaa rijaalAllah (Mawlana Shaykh sits) Thumma as-salaatu wa ‘s-salaam, `alaa jamee` il-anbiyaa wa ‘l-mursaleen, salawaatullah wa salaamu `alayhim ajmaa`een. Yaa Rabbee. Thumma as-salaamu `alayk, yaa Saahibu ‘z-Zamaan, wa ‘s-salaamu `alaykum yaa rijaalAllah mutasarifoon fee hadha ‘l-`alami ‘d-dunya, jazakumullahu anaa, khayra ‘l-jazaa….Allah Allah, `Azeez Allah, Kareem Allah! And we are saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem. Allahuma qawwi da`fana fee ridaak. (Mawlana Shaykh sits)

Anta al-Rabb wa nahnu ‘l-`abeed, anta ‘l-Rabb wa anaa ‘l-`abd, anta ‘l-ma`bood wa anaa ‘l-`abid.

You are the Lord and I am the servant, You are worth worshipping and I am the worshipper!

Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, `Azeez Allah!

Huuuuu, Huuuuuuu, Huuuuuuu, Huuuuuuu, Huuuuuuuu, Huuuuuuu,

Hayyyyyyy, Hayyyyyyy, Hayyyyyyy, Hayyyyyyy, Hayyyyyyy, Huuuuuu

O our Attenders! As salaamu `alaykum! Koonoo. Try to be always thankful to the Lord of Heavens! (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar! laa ilaaha illa-Llah (Mawlana Shaykh sits)

O People! From east to west, from north to south, try to be thankful servants for your Creator, that He created us and granted us endless favors here and Hereafter. And Almighty Allah is asking to be honored. He Almighty honors dominions of honors with no limits and He likes that His servants honor their Creator. They are not going to give anything, but He likes His servant to say, shukr Yaa Rabbee, “Thanks O my Lord!” That is an honor from weak servants to the Lord of Heavens, but He likes it. If an ant says, subhaanAllah yaa Rabbee, “Glory for You, my Lord,” He is happy and He likes it. That point we must learn, know, and teach, that every good word, good action, and good effort makes our Lord happy with us.

O People! Whole religions are based on this principle from the beginning of Mankind, from Adam, peace be upon him, who called Rabbuna, Rabbuna! Allah Almighty likes His servants to call on Him, Yaa Rabbana, “O our Lord, O our Creator!” Therefore, He likes to change every thing on Earth, that means Mankind in particular, for every other thing.

وَإِن مِّن شَيْءٍ إِلاَّ يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدَهِ

wa in min shay’in illa yusabihu bihamdih.

And there is not a thing but celebrates His praise! (17:44)

Wa in min shay’in illa yusabihu bihamdih. Allah Almighty likes this; it is His Glorious Attribute. He likes to be glorified and He is going to be happy with glorification. He is not asking anything else from His Creation. And tasbeeh is glorifying, yes? He created everything for glorifying, He Almighty, subhaanahu wa ta`ala! So simple! From the beginning, the first messenger Sayyidina Adam (a) was crying and saying, “Yaa Rabbana, yaa Rabbana, yaa Rabbana! Subhaanak yaa Rabbana, yaa Rabbana! O my Lord, O my Lord! Glory to You, my Lord” He taught his children to say, “Yaa Rabbana, yaa Rabbana! O our Glorified Lord.” That were the first words with which Adam, peace be upon him, called his Lord. And after him, Seth (a); after Seth, Idrees (a); after Idrees (a) so many other prophets came in between, until reaching to Nuh (a), who also called out, “Yaa Rabbana!” Nabi Hud (a), nabi azami ‘l-oolaa Lut (a),Yunus (a), Ibrahim (a), Isma’eel (a) and Ishaq (a), all of them were calling out, “Yaa Rabbana!” Moses (a) was calling out, “Yaa Rabbana!” Jesus (a) was saying, “Yaa Rabbana!” Sayyidina Muhammad (s) was calling and saying, (Mawlana Shaykh stands) “Yaa Rabbana, yaa Rabbee, yaa Allah!” (Mawlana Shaykh sits).

And what was Allah Almighty, rabbu ‘l-`izzah, the Lord of Honor, saying to His servants? The Lord of Heavens is not saying, “My servants.” Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar!

O `ulamas, all `ulamas! Learned people, holy ones from Judaism and Christianity, and all prophets, and the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidi ‘l-Awwaleen wa ’l-`Akhireen, Sayyidina Muhammad (s), (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits) did not call and say to his ummah, “O my Lord’s servants!”

O Salafi `ulamas and Azhar `ulamas! Hear and listen, holy people from Judaism and Christianity! No prophet said to Mankind, “O servants of my Lord!” Servanthood is something, perhaps it is the first-line of peoples’ position. But He, the Lord of Heavens, is asking from His servants, from the Children of Adam, to arise in servanthood on this planet and to come up to His Divinely Presence. SubhaanAllah, SubhaanAllah. That is what Allah Almighty likes for His deputies. He was not saying, “I am going to create servants.” Asta`eedhu billah:

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً

Wa idha qaala rabbuka lil-malaa`ikati innee ja`eelun fi’l-`ardi khalifah.

And when your Lord said to the angels, “Verily I am making in the Earth a deputy.” (al-Baqarah, 2:30)

Allah Almighty was not saying, innee ja`eelun fi’l-`ardi `ibaadee, “I am going to create servants.” You must understand the title khalifah gives honor. He is saying: (Mawlana Shaykh stands)

وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ

Wa laqad karamna bani adam.

Verily, We have honored the Children of Adam. (an-Najm, 17:70)

He is granting them such an honor! Servanthood is not the same as takreem, honor. (Mawlana Shaykh sits). Allah, Allah. Subhaan Allah. Heavenly Knowledge Oceans! And we are saying to Jewish learned people, “rabbis”, and to Christians’ “holy ones, saints”, and to Muslim “`ulamas,” that none of these titles make the Lord of Heavens, our Creator, happy. Tonight is a special declaration, different from others, in making the hearts of all nations to be in satisfaction. They are saying, sending some waves of inspiration, although I am nothing; but they are sending (these inspirations) to speak to the whole Islamic world. And I am now leaving speaking of Christianity or Judaism. They are saying to make clarity for the Islamic world, for Muslims. SubhaanAllahi ‘l-`Aliyyu ‘l-`Adheem! The Seal of Prophets (s) said: (Mawlana Shaykh stands)

ستفترق أمتي على ثلاث وسبعين فرقة

Sataftariqu ummatee `alaa thalaatha wa saba`een firqah.

My nation will divide into 73 sects.

Tonight we must change those 73 firqah, sects, and make it one, because every sect was saying something about themselves, “We are this, we are that.” And we are now leaving the book-given people (People of the Book); leave them aside for this matter. They are making me to speak on a famous point tonight, for the first time throughout the Islamic period. (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Subhaan Allah! Subhaan Allah! Subhaan Allah! Sultan Allah! Sultan Allah! (Mawlana Shaykh sits).Whoever may understand, may understand. If he is not granted an understanding, then his level is the same as the level of animals. But what they are asking me to speak about is suitable for the whole Muslim world! No one can say, “No, you are wrong.” No! Throughout the Islamic world, from its beginning up to tonight, a wrong understanding had taken place among the servants of the Lord, Allah Almighty. Some of them were saying, “We are this,” and some others were saying, “We are that.” All of them tonight are going to be closed down. Yes!

Now, in the Hijri year 1431, and tonight is the 13th or 14th of Dhul-Qa`dah, the whole Islamic world, all `ulamas and all the people may look and may understand something! They are making me to speak about tasawwuf; they are now putting a line to stop tasawwuf. The Lord of Heavens never ordered His most beloved deputy, Sayyidina Muhammad (s), (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits) “Say to your nation that you are Sufi people.” You are never going to speak on tasawwuf (any more) and no more mutasawwif, followers of Sufism, from now up to the end of the world! Mutasawwif will never exist after this moment, because the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, never spoke on it, nor did the Holy Qur’an.

We must come to a reality on which no one can make any discussions. Allah Almighty is not saying, “Koonoo mutasawwifeen, koonoo Naqshbandiyeen, koonoo Qaadireen, koonoo Mawlawiyeen, koonoo Shadhiliyeen, koonoo forty tareeqahs.” It is stopping tonight!

Therefore, the name “Salafi” was also never mentioned in Prophet’s (s) speech or in the Holy Qur’an; neither was “tasawwuf,” nor “Salafi”, no! Allah Almighty is not ordering, “O My servants! You must be Sufis!” The Lord of Heavens never said, “O My servants! You must follow Salafis and you must be Salaafiyoon.” Allah Almighty never ordered His servants, “You must be Wahhabiyoon.” Clear? He never told the Children of Israel to say, “We are chosen ones,” and (for Shi`a people) to say, “We are following the twelve sects.” No. You may be twelve sects, which means twelve tribes, but there is no honor for their names! There is no honor also to be “Wahhabi”, to be “Salafi”, to be “Sufi”!

The whole Islamic world must accept tonight, that there is no more tasawwuf, because the Holy Qur’an is showing us what we must say, what we must iqrar, admit, to ourselves. This and that does not exist, NO! We must follow Holy Books; and the last Holy Book, what was it saying? What was the Lord of Heavens ordering the Christians and the Jewish people? He is not saying that servants may claim, “I am this one” or “I am that one,” no. All of them are under my feet now! But the Lord of Heavens is saying, (Mawlana Shaykh stands) “O My servants! Koonoo Rabbaniyeen! Be those who establish Lordly worship.'” Be a Rabbani. No more tasawwuf. Never! From now on until the end of the world, you must say, “I am Rabbani! I am not stopping (in this way); I am Rabbani!” That is the highest honor for us.

This is for Christians, for Jewish people, and for the whole Islamic world, to take away nifaaq, hypocrisy, and shiqaaq, division. (Mawlana Shaykh sits) That order is coming tonight. Don’t say, “(We are) Naqshbandi-Haqqani”. It belongs to Rabbani!” Wa koonoo Rabbaniyeen! That is ayatu ‘l-kareemah!

Maa kaana li-basharin an yu’teeyahullahu al-kitaaba wa al-hukma wa ‘n-nuboowwata thumma yaqoola li ‘n-naasi koonoo `ibaadan lee min doonillahi wa laakin

koonoo rabbaniyyeena bimaa kuntum tu`allimoona al-kitaba wa bimaa kuntum tadrusoona.

No human to whom Allah has given the (Holy) Book, Judgment and prophethood would say to the people, “Be worshipers of me, other than Allah,” but rather

(they would say),”Be of the Lord, for that you teach the Book, and in that you have studied.” (3:79)

O `ulamas! If anyone asks you what is your way, say, “I am trying to be Rabbani,” or “I am Rabbani.” Finished! Laa ilaaha illa-Llah.That is bombardment on the fortress of Shaytan. Finished! Don’t say, “I am Christian,” “I am Jewish,” “I am Maronite,” “I am Orthodox,” “I am Catholic,” “I am Protestant,” “I am Shi`a,” “I am this, or that”. No! No more using the term “tasawwuf” as it was never used by the Sahabah (r)! Qur’an al-Kareem says, asta’eedhu billah, walaakin koonoo rabbaniyeen. “(When asked who you are, you must say), I am Muslim Rabbani.” Finished! No more “Naqshbandi,” no more “tasawwuf.” Now the Salafis will be happy! (laughter) Take titles away, as these are Shaytan’s titles that you are making up. You are making these titles; otherwise, for whom is that order of the Lord of Heavens? Allah Almighty says, “You must be for all nations, you must be Rabbani, belonging to Me only!” Finished!

(There must be) no more fighting between Salafis or mutasawwuf (followers of tasawwuf). First of all, I am saying that I’m not mutasawwuf but I am trying to be Rabbani. Then what is the Lord of Heavens saying in Hadeeth Qudsee, the highest, powerful speech of Prophet (s)? (Mawlana Shaykh stands) The Lord of Heavens, Allah Almighty, is telling you how you should be Rabbani. He is saying, ya `abdee at`ianee, “O my servant! Follow My orders,” aja`luka Rabbani, “I am making you Rabbani.” (Mawlana Shaykh sits) “If you are keeping My orders, I am making you Rabbani. Don’t wait for people to say that you are Rabbani; I am saying you are Rabbani!”

If you are asking for evidence, the Lord of Heavens is saying: (Mawlana Shaykh stands)

يا عبدي اطعني اجعلك ربانيا تقول لشي كن فيكون

Yaa `abdee ati`anee aj`aluka Rabbaniyyan taqoolu li shay’in kun fayakoon.

O My servant! Obey Me and I will make you Rabbani, you say to a thing “Be!” and it will be.

Allah Almighty is saying, “That is My order and My Divine Sign on My servant, that he is Rabbani!” Try to reach that point and your level will be the highest level.

May Allah forgive us. Subhaan Allah, Sultan Allah. This is the limit to make the ummah on one level, finished! No more Shi`a, no more other sects, no more Christian sects, no more Jewish sects. May Allah forgive us, for the honor of the Seal of Prophets (s).

Fatihah.

This has never been heard before; you can’t hear it a second time, finished. The Day of Resurrection is just at the door.

(Mawlana Shaykh speaks with Hajjah Naziha on the phone.)

(45 minutes)

(Mawlana Shaykh prays two raka`at Salaat ash-Shukr.)
