*Snow is a favour…*

Here in the UK we are experiencing snow alhamdullilah,
Our teacher, Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad reminds us in the following sohbet that this kind of change in creation carryies a divine purpose, i.e. descent in the form of rain and snow is an *opportunity for showing gratitude to Allah* and what appears to us as hardship is in fact a mercy…Through gratitude, Mawlana is helping us to recognise the barakah that is descending on us from the heavens… insha’Allah
“Rain and snow are given to us as presents by the Power of Allah. They are a great favour. Snow is baraqah. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ said an Angel descends with every snowflake. When Allah sends favours they don’t fall all at once but come down with Angels one by one. With rain, every drop comes with an Angel and goes back but with snow it is not like this. Every Angel comes down as baraqah and stays on the earth. Therefore *snow is a big baraqah and a big favour.* insha’Allah *may we appreciate this favour and make Shukr to Allah.* People should make Shukr, they shouldn’t look at snow as trouble. It is a big favour. If you make Shukr to Allah you will see its benefit but if you don’t make Shukr for a favour you will be deprived of it. *Baraqah is for the ones who make Shukr.*

Assalamu alaikum wr wb,
*🌹Laylatul Israʾ Miʿraj, the Night of Ascension🌹*
InsyaAllah, following Mawlanaق’s calendar, *tomorrow, 15th January 2026, after Maghrib,* marks the blessed Night of Ascension, Israʾ Miʿraj.
On this night, Allah (swt) honoured His Beloved Prophet ﷺ with a journey in which he was shown the realities of creation: *the Hereafter, Paradise and Hell, the seven Heavens, al-ʿArsh, and the Divine signs of his Lord, in a manner known only to Allah Almighty.*
No other creation was granted what was granted to the Prophet ﷺ on this night. It was a pure act of Divine honour and generosity, a Divine gift bestowed upon the Sultan of all Prophets ﷺ.
For this reason, *Laylatul Israʾ Miʿraj is a night of miracles, mercy, and immense opening.*
_“The events that took place on this night, perhaps it would take thousands of years for them to happen, but they happened in only two hours of this world’s time._
*_Allah opened up time and place for our Holy Prophet ﷺ, and he saw it all and returned with ikram (gifts). And those who love our Holy Prophet ﷺ are also given from those gifts on this night.*”_
